I killed Daeveorn and advanced to Chapter 5. But the sector leading
to BG bridge isn't opening up. What do I have to do?
I have not dealt with Bassilus, but everything is done, as far as I
know.
It's my 2nd time through the game (after over a year), and I didn't
have the problem the first time. I remember reading this question on
here and thinking, "thank God that didn't happen to me."
Never think that.
Anyone help?
Oh, BTW, I Dualed Imoen at 5th level, and she just hit 6th in Mage.
The Stealth button activates, but nothing seems to happen - no msg, no
nothing. Hitting again says "coming out of shadows" or whatever. Got
a solution?
Thanks,
Bill

You should be able to get onto Wyrm Bridge at nearly any stage of the game. But
before defeating Daeveorn, you'll be stopped by a guard who says the drawbridge
is up, or something like that, due to bandit activity. Is the bridge still up
after defeating D? If so, it sounds like a glitch and you might have to patch.
Did you install Sword Coast and haven't patched it?
If you can walk all the way across the bridge to the far shore, the problem
might just be that it's very difficult to see the entryway to the city. Poke
around. From the perspective of the game, the entry is very near to one of the
tower turrets, if memory serves.

He shouldn't be the cause. You can leave several non-essential quests undone.

No, what I mean is, I can't access the Baldur's Gate or BG Bridge
sectors on the map, either from Friendly Arm Inn or from Bandit Camp.
And that little sector to the south I remember appearing doesn't,
either.
I have patched the game, but don't own Sword Coast.
I don't remember any guards approaching me in the dungeon about a
bridge... Maybe that's the problem, maybe I killed him with one of
many fireballs I was throwing around...
Thanks for your help,
Bill

From there, you can reach the bridge.
Steph
Go north from the FAI. ;p

Can't get there, it doesn't come up as an option on the map. (???)

Arright, so I'm a moron.
Although I'm not sure it was that stupid; the road goes off to the
East, which won't get you to Baldur's Gate.
So. Let's change the subject.
I recently bought my Dwarven Fighter/Thief that Claw at High Hedge
(Blur, -2 Con, -4 Death Save, +3 to all other saves, -1 AC, cursed),
and quickly after wearing it realized how cool it would be, given his
blurry appearance on the screen, to give him the Boots of Speed. I
laughed alot. So now I got this streaky little smudge racing around
the screen like a bumblebee, stopping only occasionally to persuade
things with his Halberd +1.
Just thought I'd share. <grin>

In TOSC you can also get hold of a Cloak of Displacement, so you can
have several streaky little smudges running round instead :-)
