BG2 - Shadow Thieves attack me! (SPOILERS)

Well, I just don't know what to do. I have completed many of the
Shadow thieves missions (Mae'Var's Guild, thievery quests etc) and I
was just about to tell Aran Linvail the location of the rival guild HQ
in the Graveyard District.

However, I now find that when I approach the Guild, the guards are
enemies, as is everyone inside!! This is obviously a severe problem,
as they are my only (?) chance to rescue Imoen. Whenever I go near, a
hugely powerful assassin attacks me out of nowhere, automatically
hitting, and killing with one blow.

I simply don't understand what i have done to anger the Shadow Thieves
so. If anyone else knows, or has encountered this problem themselves,
please let me know! I don't really wish to lose my only (?) connection
to Imoen and Irenicus!

Sounds like maybe you told Bodhi you'd be on her side, which would make the
Shadow Thieves your enemies.

OK, I still have this problem, and this is not true. I have been
attacked 4/5 times by vampires in the slums/docks (? rival guild
members) so how can I be THEIR friends?

Any other suggestions? Was there a Shadow Thief non-defector spy in
Mae'Var's guild who I may have accidentally killed? Will the Shadow
Thieves be my friends if i go do all the quests in the Graveyard
district? (I have not yet been there)
