I was battling some Adamite Golems in the Elven City in chapter 7. I figured
the +3 flail I had would work best, being it is more of a bashing weapon. It
had no effect. So I swapped to flame tongue, a +1 sword. Flame tongue tore
the Golem up. Why is that? It isn't bashing. Is a Golem considered undead?

I think it gets a bonus against giant enemies

There seems to be a bit of a bug in the way golems are "tagged" in BG2. I
noticed that azuredge, which is supposed to be lethal to undead, doesn't
work. But it does cause golems to make a save vs. death.

Apparently you need a +4 or better weapon to damage the golem (I though it
was +3) and since the engine thinks it's undead, the flametongue
qualifies...
