PLEASE MIND THE POSSIBLE SPOILERS

Hey again
My gods this is getting to be a habit! I have managed to defeat all the
doppelgangers I can see, and explored the entire level (this is the one
below the Wardens).

All I need to do (as far as I can see) is:
1. disarm the nasty fireball trap on the cache of interesting looking
spells (well there's 2) - this is on the wall to the left of the large room
with the bridges going across a pool of lava (or something)
2. disarm the "hold" trap in the room that has the 3 or 4 Dwarven Doom
Guards (I actually tried this with a "knock" spell, but when I had another
person go to collect the contents....... the next bit explains....
3. defeat the bloody Dwarven Doom Guards who beat the crap out of me!

I think that's all I have to do in this level.

Help please!
Rella
PS. What's this I hear about not being able to sleep because it resets the
door mechanisms?

All you really need to do is to get through the level but that means
searching it enough to find the exit ward stone. Taking on the dwarven
doom guards is a choice you make - you could always leave Kiel to rest
in peace. The 'rewards' are something of a mixed blessing anyway.
Sleeping in the middle of any level is a bit risky and this one is
complicated by the need to open [and close] doors. However, once you
get to the staircase down to the next level it's perfectly safe and even
wise. You will need to be well prepared. Good luck down there.

Last time I was there, I placed as many skeletons in that little room as
possible, put a character near the chest (maybe a thief to open it, and a
fighter/mage to cast magic missiles through the rangs of skeletons?), and
then some more skeletons. The other characters waited outside with
bows/spells. When the doomguards turned hostile, everyone attacked them from
a distance. I don't believe anyone got hurt.

You found the exit?

If you go to sleep with your entire party, say, in the corridor between the
bedroom and the room with the statues, the doors will close, and you won't
get out. But if you are already beyond the throne room, I think it won't
trouble you anymore.

Good luck,

Rens.

You may go to sleep in a room with all switches (south to throne room with a
helm). Wake up and re-open all doors again.
