BG - Killed Sarevok in Ducal Palace

Anyone else experienced this...?

I managed to kill SAREVOK in the Ducal Palace, and hence did not have to
complete the Thieves Maze, Undercity and Temple of Bhaal.

Once I'd killed the 6 dopplegangers in the Ducal Palace, I summoned
loads of monsters and attacked Sarevok. I had the PC and Branwen use
Wands of the Heavens; Ajantis and Minsc using bows (with Arrows of
Piecing and Biting) and Imoen and Jaheira use Wands of Monster
Summoning. I went through 3 wands of Monster Summoning and kept hoping
that Gholl Elites (c/w bows) were summoned.

Sarevok eventually went down. I looked through the commentary , and he
must have had about 400HP. Got 15k experience and it said game over,
characters saved to Final Save slot.

RCV: It just casts a flame strike spell, can be used anywhere.
Just like a wand of lightning can be used anywhere. Very
powerful Clerical item, not much else compares with it for a
Priest.

Sounds like you surrounded him to the point that he couldn't take those few
steps to your left to retreat. Unfortunately you cost yourself a ton of xp
by doing that.

Funny. I killed big Mr.S in the duchal palace before ho could disappear,
and instead of giving me any XP or any game message, the game just stopped.
I couldn't control the NPC's but there was no save file created, and the
characters were still in an unpaused state, kind of like during a cut-scene
(i.e. when walking with Garrick to talk to Silke - the game appears to be
working normally but you can't control any of the characters). I can't say
I'd like to repeat that scenario, though, as I was forced to resort to a
hard reset, as it turned out my whole computer just locked up when I tried
to alt-tab out of it. Oh well.
