I have been playing a few hours now and i am curious about a few things. I
am at the Nashkel Mines and i am only level 1. I want to restart the game
and import my character to gain more experience. But if i keep restarting
when i find the people later i nthe new game i am playing with now wont they
still be only a level 1 while i have gained enough experience to be a level
2, 3 or 4 or whatever. Can i let them restart with me or do i just restart
and play with them staying at a level 1 or so. Im new so dont be to harsh.
Im just getting into RPG/AD&D games. Thanks. I appreciate any help I can
get.

Experience is gained by doing things and fighting things! Do as many side
quests as you can.... Fight as many battles as you want and can handle too.
The characters you find in the game seem to be fairly close to the level your
currently at, I just had a dwarf join my party (all lvl 3 and 1 lvl 4) and he
is a level 4 fighter.

Key thing to remember when wishing to get lots of xps. Go alone or with a
small group.
The xps your player gets is XPS of the Monster divided by number in group.

i.e. If you received 1000 xps for killing a big monster, alone you would
receive 1000 xps, with one friend only 500, 2 friends 333, 3 friend 250. With
the full 6 guys in a group, you'd only get 167 xps.

Sometimes I'll take my main guy out to kill some creatures, come back for
healing, go out again, kill, etc.
