Just a quick question. I know there's supposed to be a magic shop in
Beregost...(not Feldepost's that sells magic stuff or Taerom's Smithy). And
I don't mean High Hedge to the west.

Anyway, I must have passed a zillion times by now, but I can't find it.

Anyone got coordinates?

Thanks in advance...

Hello there. I don't have the coordinates to it but it is in the first
section that I went into, with the Elfsong Tavern (Area 0800 I think).
Can't miss it, just look for pretty colors.

Hmmm....okay. I could have sworn there was one in Beregost.
Quoting from the manual:

"...This town (Beregost), while much smaller than Baldur's Gate, boasts
three inns, two stores, a magic shop, a temple and a decent tavern..."

Page 47, Baldur's Gate manual.

Of course, this wouldn't be the first time the manual was incorrect.

Anyone else?

Thanks in advance...

The Elfsong Tavern is in Baldur's Gate (the city) and there's no magic shop in
Beregost except the Feldpost inn. There's one in High Hedge and there are some
magic stuff at the smithy. There is a magic shop in Baldur's Gate though...
like the guy said, in the place where the Elfsong Tavern is at. However.. its
Baldur's Gate not Beregost where its at.

i believe that the manual is referring to the feldpost inn. another character
tells you of the magic shop at the feldpost inn. seeing that it contains mostly
magic items it seems to be the best guess cuz that would leave the other three
as taverns...wouldn't it?!?

The shop your referring to is Sorcerous sundries, in Baldur's Gate.

There really isn't a magic shop in Beregost, per say,
High Hedge is considered part of Beregost.

When the manual, etc, refers to the magic shop in Beregost, it
actually means High Hedge.

RCV: High Hedge is considered Beregost, just as the temple, also not on the
Beregost map, is listed as the temple "in" Beregost. Thalantyr's High Hedge IS
the magic shop "in" Beregost. Remember, this is a folksy, conversational
account you are reading here, not a legalese rules section... :)

the manual is correct, High Hedge is considered part of Beregost.
The mage at HH is actually a town leader of some sort.
