I think that many of them are, particularly the Finder's Stone
Trilogy, the Pools Trilogy, the Spellfire books, and of course
Mr. Salvatore's work.

Look out for anything by R.A.Salvatore - there must be 80 or so by
now. A good start is :

The Dark Elf Trilogy [Homeland, Exile, Sojourn]

You must also read the Avatar trilogy as that is an important part of
Faerunian history.
They are: (1) Shadowdale
(2) Tantras
(3) Waterdeep

Personally, I found those books, while interesting conceptually,
to be rather dry and boring. I could barely finish the first, and
gave up after the first 50 or so pages of the second.

R.A. Salvatore's books are great, though the Drizzt well is beginning to run
dry.. thats why his last book was completely about Wulfgar (good book) and the
next is about the dark elf mercenary Jarlaxle and Artemis Entreri the assassin.
