Hey,

I have restarted the game and I'm currently playing ch 2. I haven't had
any of the dreams scenes that I had the first time I played. Has anyone
else had this happen? I hope it isn't going to mess up my game. I
haven't had the dreams. Any possible explanations?

Thanks

Devon

Just speculation but it could be due to your baldur.ini file.

They list in here all the movies that played when you first entered a
region. This way they are not played every time you enter the same region.
The dream sequences might be listed somewhere else in the file.

You might want to look and see if they are there.

No, dreams aren't the same as movies. If that happened, then whenever I'd
start a new game with a new character, I'd never get the dreams again. Which
I do get get the dreams. The movies listed in the ini files only say that
you've already seen the movies, so you can play them back whenerver you want
at the main screen. It's got nothing to do with playing or not when you
enter a region

Well as I said it was just speculation.

But as far as movies is concerned, the ini file does define if the game
shows a movie or not when you enter a region. Most movies are played the
first time you enter a specific area. They are never played again. The
setting in the ini file tells the game if it should play the movie when you
enter a specific area.

This is used as a workaround for people who's computers crash when movies
are played. They list all movies in the ini file and the game never plays
any of them.

Nope, because if I started a new game with a new character, I'd never see
the movies either, but I do see them. The Baldur.ini file is global, which
affects every game. You'll notice that it also lists all the intro movies as
well, and they still play everytime you launch the game. The sunset and
sunrise movies are also listed, and they also play every time it turns into
night or day. So are the resting movies.
Believe me, I know this from BGI.

Hmm. My character's have started to have some of the conversations that
I remember from the first time I played the game, Like Valygar asking
me what I think about magic. Does anyone know what triggers these
things. I still haven't seen any of the dream sequences though. I
checked the ini file like one of you suggested but there doesn't appear
to be anything in there. So I'm assuming that everyone else out there
has a bunch of dreams in chapter two right. Please let me know if any
of you haven't had the dreams. I'm really hoping that it won't mess me
up later in the game.

Does anyone know if I could send an email to Bioware or Interplay to
ask them about this?
