Haste - is it damaging?

Is is safe to use the Haste spell. The description of Haste
is the standard D&D spell description, including the bit
about ageing one year due to 'increased metabolic
processes'. While BG has used most of the D&D rules,
including ones I couldn't be bothered with when I was a DM,
I can't find age anywhere. Does this mean I can cast Haste
with impunity?

RCV: That seems to be the case - at least I have never seen any ill
effects related to age mentioned in all of my playing time. Who knows
though... :)

If you want to be perfectly safe, take an elven PC. Elves get old so any
possible aging won't be much of a problem then :-)

Unless the aging effects are relative to the race's life span. Humans are
the shortest lived so they only age 3 years. Elves live the longest (maybe
10 times longer) so they age 30...

I play a D&D campaign where the DM uses something like this...it takes all
of the fun out being hasted ;-)
