Breaking allegience with a nonexistent patron

My monarch abruptly dropped off the face of the earth and by default my
new monarch is my patron, who has not been online in 3 months. How can
I break allegience with a ghost patron if I cannot click on him in the
game. Larry

This was working last i checked:

delete your character - which will break all allegences then restore the
char
the only downfall is that all vassals will be broken and they will need to
reswear.

They don't have to be on. Click break button and then their name.

You can delete your char and them reinstate him. that severs all ties with
no xp penalty.

Better confirm this before you delete, but I'm pretty sure I'm right.
