Does anyone know if this works? I have a dual-monitor system at work, and it's
very nice to have one display on one screen only. That way, I could have AC
Explorer, et c, constantly open on the second screen. Anyone know if this
should work?

You can have it open, but you can't do anything with it. The main screen
takes over, so unless you alt+tab out you should be able to see what on the
second screen but not change it. Also if this is Windows 2000 a lot of the
time when you have the second video adaptor enabled AC acts weird and you
get the view screen all messed up. I think it depends on the video cards
being used.

I don't think it's possible yet as to the way DirectX works. So unless
you play in software mode it might be impossible.

Well I don't have it in my active system (and DON'T plan on installing
it again) BUT my Matrox G400 Dual head worked just fine DISPLAYING a
second screen of whatever I wanted when I was playing Diablo 2. I was
using D3D mode but I couldn't interact with the stuff on the second
screen unless I alt-tabbed, another BUT, I never tried running D2 in a
window, it was always full screen. So if you are looking for a
PASSIVE second screen I'm sure you could find a solution. If you're
looking for a way to just actively move from the game to the other
screen without alt-tabbing, that would be much harder to achieve
without either a lot of research or buying stuff and just trying it.
Also the Matrox cards are NOT known for their blazing graphic speed
:^)
I had bought it to play with the dual head feature basically, I found
in my case it's NOT needed, YMMV.

Yes it does work - to a degree.

You can't use AC Explorer unless you alt-tab out, but if you have AC
Explorer Pro with route tracking enabled it's very handy for keeping track
of where you are and finding your corpse :-)

This does work. I read that one of the AC Dev team does this

I'm going to use my laptop to display the acexplorer window :)
Thats the good thing about client/server software.
