I noticed in the new book (66!), when you roll an 18 with Runners on
First and Second with Fielding Two, the result is that the runners
advance 1 base, but the S on 1st is out at 3rd. This makes no sense
whatsoever.

Does anybody even frequent this forum besides spammers anymore? :-)

After having not used newsgroups in YEARS, I was hoping there would maybe be
some kind of APBA file sharing going on, as illegal as that may be. I have
Broadcast Blast 5.5, and several seasons and ballparks. I started out
playing the board game, but have found the computer game much quicker and
more fun because of more options and an almost intelligent computer manager,
although sometimes the moves he makes are very unrealistic.

the master booklet has no S reference there, so it's probably a typo

the reference IS valid for Fielding Three, a single, runners adv. 2

don't tell anyone I was here :)

This means a slow (S) runner on first is out trying to go from first to
third on the hit. Runners have a speed rating before their fielding grades.
Some are (F) for fast, some (S) for slow, the rest are just average. This
is a rating based on number of times a player scores without a homer as a
percentage of his plate appearances...in other words, it's actually a
baserunning skill rating, not a footspeed rating.
