"Ploesti 2001: Oil's Well That Ends Well!", a Full Realism Air Warrior
III scenario, opens registration on Monday, October 15th at 5pm ET.

Throughout much of the span of World War II the oilfields of Ploesti,
Rumania were a feared and deadly target for the Allies. Occupied by the
Germans and a major supplier of necessary Axis petroleum, Ploesti became
one of the most strategic targets of the war. The refineries were first
attacked by the Russians in 1941 and on June 11, 1942 the first US
strikes against Ploesti began. Ploesti seemed a target that refused to
crumble.

"Ploesti 2001" is a redesigned rendition of the "Ploesti!" scenario
originally brought to the Air Warrior Community last year. This year's
event utilizes a revised ruleset and implements the usage of the new
Mediterrean terrain designed specifically for the Ploesti and Pedestal
events (THANKS =SC=!). "Ploesti 2001" is a sideswitch event that will
be played in two phases. Each team will have its chance as US and Axis
pilots. The Commanding Officers for this year's event are Aub (CO of
Team Dirty Rats) and FiLtH (CO of Team Decon).

Frame 1 - Wed., Nov. 7 (9pm ET / 6PM PT / Nov. 8 2AM GMT )
Frame 2 - Sat., Nov. 10 (3pm ET / Noon PT / 8PM GMT )
Frame 3 - Sun., Nov. 11 (3pm ET / Noon PT / 8PM GMT )
Phase 2:
Frame 4 - Wed., Nov. 14 (9pm ET / 6PM PT / Nov. 15 2AM GMT )
Frame 5 - Sat., Nov. 17 (3pm ET / Noon PT / 8PM GMT )
Frame 6 - Sun., Nov. 18 (3pm ET / Noon PT / 8PM GMT )
