Why do I want to spell Lloth like this? Where did this come from.

I think it came from FR, perhaps one of the Drizz't novels or somesuch.
IIRC, it's supposedly how one spells Lolth in the drow tongue.

From a typo by R.A. Salvatore in the first Dribble novel that TSR did
not bother to correct, and even pseudo-canonized, until 3E was released
and a bunch of such things cleaned up.

According to the Menzoberranzan boxed-set, Lloth is how Lolth is known in
Menzoberranzan.
Lolth is her name to all drow.
