Does so matter! It's one of those admonishments to young boys to
discourage them from masturbating, when it's is a perfectly normal thing
to do. Another one is: If you do it too much when you're young, you won't
have enough sperm later in life when you need them. Equally untrue.
It relieves sexual tension, which young teens have in abundance. It can
also help avoid nocturnal emissions (wet dreams).
