Earlier this evening I received my EA degree. Well, it is after
midnight, so technically it was yesterday. It was a great experience.

knowing that Freemasonry does not promote one religion over others, I
was impressed with the level of biblical scholarship that went into
the writing of the ritual. The author(s) of the ritual certainly knew
the Bible better than most people do today. Maybe this is because
they valued education for its own sake rather than seeing a diploma as
a means to increasing one's income.

I am quite eager to continue on in Masonry.

My best wishes, Aaron. I hope you enjoy the fraternity as much as I do.

What does EA mean KKKlansman Aaron? Enter the Abyss?
--
When a freemason is being initiated into the third degree he is struck
on the forhead in the dark, falling back either into a coffin or onto
a coffin shape design. His fellow masons lift him up and when he opens
his eyes he is confronted with a human skull and crossed bones. Under
this death threat how can any freemason of third degree or higher be
trusted, particularly in public office? He is hoodwinked literally and
metaphorically, placing himself in a cult and under a curse.

The majority of Masons worldwide are in Christian majority countries. I
know of no Masonic organizations that keep records of what religion a
brother belongs to (and since I know of a practicing Muslim and a
practicing Buddhist who are active in their York Rite Commandery it does
not quite work to make assumptions based on specific memberships) it
makes sesne to conclude that a majority of Masons are Christians.

I think the degrees draw on Biblical events for at least this list of
reasons - The vast majority of Masons are familiar with the Bible even
the non-Christian members. All or most of the authors of the ritual
have been Christians. The degrees attempt to teach universal truths and
those truths appear in the Bible as well as in other books.

> I am quite eager to continue on in Masonry.

I deliberately chose to go through my degrees cold. I read as little as
I could about the content of the degrees themselves. I did this because
I knew about the initiatory intent of the degrees and I wanted the
maximum impact. I was extremely impressed with the content of the
degrees but also bewildered by the amount of content. I have no idea if
I got the maximum impact but I've since developed a deep love for the
content.

Aaron tried to tell us his pro-masonic stance was from a neutral.

Is there a bigger liar on Usenet?

The fact that you need to ask the question demonstrates your complete
ignorance of Masonry. So, your effort to resurrect your failed
attempt to link Albert Pike with the KKK even though the KKK was
founded after his death is meaningless.

I do need to thank you and all the other trolls who post anti-Masonic
gibberish here. Because of you, and others like you, I was able to
discover a great deal about Freemasonry. Granted, your information
was always wrong, but it gave me clues where to look for the truth and
what topics to look up. So, you and your supporters really helped
speed up the process of investigation that proved that Freemasonry was
not only a good organization but also one that was worthwhile. Upon
receiving my EA Degree, I saw first hand that Masonry was even better
than I expected.

So: Thanks for your support of Freemasonry! (...Even if that support
was inadvertent.)

LOL
I never lied. I have even explained that coming here neutral, I was
exposed to your claims against Masonry. Those were easily disproved
and some were obviously lies. You, DS, Pope P, rpautrey, and the
other anti-Masonic trolls gave me a great deal of information, all of
it wrong, that helped me know what to look for, what topics to
research, and so you really helped me discover a lot about
Freemasonry. You proved that Freemasonry is not only a good
organization, but also that it is worth while. Yes, you never
intended this; you went out of your way to tell lies or pretend that
you believed the lies of others, but the effect of your posts was to
support Freemasonry. I would have expected masons to focus on the
"good side" of Masonry, and for the anti-Masonic posters to focus on
the "bad side" of Masonry. Instead, the Masons freely admitted that
the fraternity is made up of human beings some of whom are not
perfect. You and your fellow anti-Masonic posters never posted
anything to reveal a "bad side" at all. Your claims were all easily
disproved, and your posts were obviously dishonest. It should have
occurred to you that if you must lie to prove your point, you should
rethink your position. Ultimately, you and others gave me the clues
that helped speed up my research and prevented me from remaining
neutral. And you kept posting! Time and again, the facts about the
stories that you and others dredged up revealed a morality and social
conscience among Masons that is greatly needed in today's society.

Upon receiving the First Degree, the EA Degree and seeing Masonry
first-hand, I find that Masonry is even better than expected.

So, Thank you for your dedicated support of Freemasonry!

Well, congratulations, my Brother. I wish you all the best on your
allegorical journey through masonry.

If you feel up to it, please let us know (here or by email) when and
where your next degree will take place. I'm sure someone here would
like to witness your degree or even take part.

Fraternally,
Larry
