In the last days i've made several works in my mother's cellar.
I've made a new, better and safer electrical equipment with certified
wires and sockets.
Thanks to my subscribers, Aioe.org has got a new switch; the internal
Aioe.org network was completely rebuilted with more modern wires and
netcards and now the internal speed reaches 100 Mbit/sec even if it's
raining or snowing. I've spent three days nailing cables (tha last time
was in the '90) and installing insulating boards: i hope that this
will increase the server uptime.
In the next days some Aioe.org services will be shifted to new IP
addresses (the NNTP server keeps the old one and the domains remain
untouched) and a more advanced routing system will be added soon.
I'm sorry for this three days downtime but i've chosen to concentrate the
works in a couple of holidays in order to reduce the discomfort for my
users.

Happy new year to all

Glad to see you're back up and running again. Next time you plan to take
it down, could you maybe post an announcement so people know ahead of time?

Mike usually posts what's up if his servers are down for more than a day
or two though.

Half of those people are in India, and I'd bet most of them don't drive at
all. Likewise the 2 billion in China where the right-hand rule applies.

Major left-driving areas: British Isles, Japan, Australia, New Zealand,
Indian Subcontinent, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, south & east Africa.

Last TV programme I saw suggested that Indians drove on whichever side
suited the driver best at that particular instance in time. Scared the
s**t out of me and I was at home!

He was indicating direction with his use of the word Up. You can say
"turn it off" or "switch it off" even if the direction of the
"off-switch" is "up".
