All about the Heaven Scent Scam!!!!!
Heaven Scent part of the Scentura Pyramid is located in Marlboro NJ on
Rt.9 North it is ran by Michelle and Rasheena if that is there real
name do not be scammed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They have ads in the customer service listing than when your hired
tell you about a manager position than when your hired 4 that you are
thrown on the streets selling imposter perfume. They tell you this is
all part of the marketing aspect "How can you train people if you
don't know how to do it yourself" is Michelle and Rasheena's exact
quotes.
While your out selling perfume risking being fined and jail they're in
the office waiting on you 2 bring back there money and are recruiting
others to scam.
They tell you no other job is better you'll never make good money
doing anything else. They usually pick young confused and money hungry
people so that we will only see the money and not the lies. You sell
the bottles for $30 but can go as low as $20 and see none of the
profit. They see all the money and you see the streets and all the
hard work. They claim you get paid off the books all cash no taxes and
say "Sounds Great Right Great" this is so if you quit there's no
record you worked and you also never have to fill out a tax form
sounds illegal well to is so one has to pay the taxes for all this
money.
So once you decide its a scam and want no parts you leave and are paid
nothing. WHY? Because you have just been scammed. Scammed of your hard
work, time, and energy!!!! These are many questions you may have and
they give you a broad answer well here's the real deal............
-Why is there still no receptionist hired after you being there for a
while?
Because there was no position to begin with
-Why is the office pretty empty and non-established?
So when the business gets hot they can up and leave "fly by night
company"
-Why is there no computer anywhere?
No records of employees paper can be shredded at once files tend to
linger around even after deleted and computers can be tapped
-Where are the flyers and handouts with the company letterhead or just
plain name?
No proof you ever even worked for them no paper trace
The list goes on those were just a few.
If you feel it is a Scam follow what you think.

I came across this site by accident, but I believe I have something to
add and hopefully it will help others.
Last year I was living in west palm beach, FL...I was looking for a
job when I saw an ad in the classifieds that said:
office help, no exper. Needed, must like music, money and fun.
Of course I called and got an interview. When I got to the office I
knew there was something wrong because there was not one computer in
site. How many offices now a days don't have at least one computer?
Think about it.
They would not tell me much info at the interview. I had to come back
the next day to meet the boss.
So I did, along with 20 other applicants. The boss said the business
was Scentura creations. He promised us big money, nice cars, our own
offices for free and wonderful trips around the world.
Then he had people stand up one by one to ask them questions. I walked
out when he started asking people if they were willing to degrade
themselves on the job. I never went back. I'm glad I never worked for
these people. And I am sad that so many people out there are getting
hurt by this scam. This business is a scam!!! Don't let them fool
you!!!!! Don't believe anything they tell you no matter how great it
sounds!!!! Just walk out the door , you will be happier working
somewhere else!!!!!

Funny how everything you mention is what I experienced today.
The red flags went off when they did not ask for past jobs or go into
any detail on how you were going to get paid $100-$400 during 6week

The office is called Capri Unlimited in Florida. I just happen to find
this company name on a poster in the meeting room and decided to

Hi Nissy,
My name is Michelle and in the beginning of the summer I was
desperately looking for a job. The ad that was run in my local
newspaper was looking for a young person who could easily adjust to a
"wild and crazy" atmosphere.
Unfortunately, I wound up in the hands of "Phoenix Management"... a
"branch" of Scentura Creations.
I think the funniest part about the whole scam is that they repeatedly
tell you not to listen to what your friends or family say about the
company, and to let your faith reside in Scentura and Larry Hahn (the
creator of Scentura) because this "wonderful opportunity" that you've
been given is not a scam.
I went to three of their "training sessions" and after that third
session the "class" had to immediately begin selling their cheap
products to our friends and family.
When I arrived home my mother began asking me questions about the job,
and what it entailed. Honestly, I was searching my head for answers,
but I could hardly come up with a descent explanation of what my job
description would be after my so called training was completed.
That's when I finally came online to do more research on Scentura. As
soon as I put in Scentura in the search engine there was nothing but
FRAUD this and SCAM that. Well, after reading everything that was
posted online I finally realized that I had just been scammed. I never
sold anything for Scentura and I went back the next day to pass around
all of the articles that I found on the internet to others in the
class.
I don't know exactly what happened at that particular branch of
Scentura because after I was done distributing the information to
everyone I slipped quietly out the back.
It's quite humorous really, because you think that my story would end,
but one of the "branch managers" followed me to my car and insisted
that I go back inside. I frankly told her absolutely not and I slammed
my car door in her face.
I can only hope that the information I found on the internet about
Scentura would enlighten the people inside, but I would love to help
others take down this company who fills people with empty hopes,
dreams, and promises.
Yours Truly,
Michelle

My name is Shauna,
I was hired for an office of Scentura creations out of Denver,
Colorado.
The morning before I was scheduled to go in for my first day of
training, I decided that I would look up information on the internet
on Scentura creations only I did it to impress them with having
knowledge about the business.
Well I was horrified by what I had found instead. Then I told myself
that I wasn't gonna go in for training at all, but then I thought what
about all of the other people that would be victims by their lies.
These people had me excited and convinced they could easily do it to
other people also. So I called all of the local new stations and
newspapers to report what they are doing. We found 3 offices here in
Denver and I am happy to say that the newspapers are pulling there
help wanted ads from the newspapers and a local news station is gonna
do a story on them to warn people about what they are doing.
I caught them in so many lies by researching about them on the
Internet. First of all they said that this supposed Larry Hahn person
lives in San Diego, that he lived in the house from the old basic
instinct movie and that it over looked Madonna's house.
Well, I was amazed by this when I first heard it but when I caught
them in so many other lies. I thought that it would be fun to check
this one out too. Get this they said he lived in san Diego well the
old basic instinct house is in san Francisco 500 miles away from san
Diego and Madonna lives in lake Hollywood. So I don't know how that
could possibly happen, I would bet that the man doesn't even exist.
I just want to make sure that they don't lie and try to con anymore
people so I am working on getting them kicked out of Colorado for good
and would really like to help people all over the country.
So if there is anything that I could do please contact me at my email

Don (Donald Waleski) is a regional manager. His business is named
Azure Enterprises. He is very well known through the company. His
partner is named Karen. Their location is at 22 DeHart Ave on Staten
Island.
Is he a scam artist....No he is not. Does the company promise you your
own business...Yes.
But the only thing that you really own is the office itself. Scentura
really controls the business. The make you sign consignment agreement
which basically says that you are an independent contractor (which
means that you don't work as an employee but you are held liable for
anything that happens to you and that the company cannot be held
liable for anything). If you don't do what's in their best interest
they will stop giving you merchandise and then you will have to shut
the business because you have no way of generating money.
I have no grudge against the company. It's a good opportunity and you
can make a lot of money doing it but not as an owner but maybe as a
"Divisional." I am currently an owner if anyone is wondering. I've
read a lot of the posts and some of them aren't true and some of them
are.
It's not a scam. Is it a pyramid? Maybe. It depends on how you look at
it. Can you make more money than your promoting owner...Yes. But your
promoting owner makes money on you but it doesn't come out of your
pocket but out of the profit that you settle up to the main office.
Larry Hahn is the only one that really makes alot of money.
Is it legal...Yes it is. The owner tells everyone in the second
interview that we do business to business, in legal terms you are
establishing commercial trade. Which you don't need a license to do. I
know everything there is to know about the business. I've always told
the truth to my people. In my 2nd interview I tell them that they will
learn how to sell perfume. I also tell them that they will earn next
to nothing in training or as I say it dog sh*t.
It's not the company that misleads people but the people running the
offices. I've been to Las Vegas in July of 2002 and I didn't pay a red
cent out of my pocket for air fare or hotel fare. It was all paid for
me. I just had to feed myself and if I wanted to gamble I had to pay
for that. And this is when I was in training.
I'm out of Don's region (as of today formerly) and I had a good time
while it lasted. You really don't own your own business just four
walls. They have all the control. But they have taught me something
that I will probably have never learned anywhere else and they taught
it to me for free. That's all I had to do was sell some perfume.
Schools teach you and you have to pay them money, there they do not
ask you for a dime.
Karen is the one that took away my opportunity from me because they
placed someone to partner with me and they didn't like me at all and
she made up some bullsh*t lie and they believed her because she went
through training in their office. I did my training at a Brooklyn
office on Kings Hwy. They said they wanted me to go to their office to
be retrained for a month (yeah right). The person that ran the office
that I was at before me failed and they said that they were taking her
back to their office to retrain her and it's been 8 months and she
still hasn't been opened.
A lot of things have happened to me while I was running my location at
Sunset Park, Brooklyn. I was robbed at gun point. They stole $2,500 of
profit and my partners brand new Jeep Cherokee (it was a set up). My
office was burglarized and trashed over a weekend. My partner blew out
(quit). Another person that was temporarily my partner blew out. And
my final partner turned her back on me and told lies that made her
look good and made me look like the bad guy. I think I was pretty
loyal to the company. Most people after being robbed would of quit but
I didn't. I've sold perfume until the sun came up (at all times at
night). Yes as an owner you have to still go out on the field and drop
bottles (sell). If your office is doing a consistently good job then
you don't have to go out in the field but that soon comes to an end.
My life has been changed by the experience that I've had with this
company. Has it been for the better or for the worst...I really don't
know but only the future can tell.
If you would like to know anything about the company you should
definitely ask me. I've been through the training, I've been through
the ownership part. Basically I've been through it all. If you have
any questions or just want to know more about my journey with the
company you can email me at pprs...@aol.com. The only dumb questions
are ones that aren't asked. Always remember that. Would you rather be
a cow or a Rhino...Ask me and I'll tell you... And my real name is not

I'm glad I got out of it before it was to late.
Just last night on the news I heard these teenagers got arrested for
it and the office did not want to even bail them out. I used to be
apart of the H&E management on Mrytle Ave, in Brooklyn. with owner
Elie Marty aka M.Diddy.
I thought it was odd giving a management position to a 16 year old, it
was a good thing that I wasnt hook on the so called money I was going
to get. It only common sense, your training for a management position
but your outside selling perfume.
They make it sound so good, they even have you outside on the coldest
days, and rainy days. Marty was always bragging about making $30,000 a
year, and making $10,000 for each person she gets to the top o paying
her rent 6 months in advance or the type of clothing she wears. The
people who you sell perfume to is called GUMPS ( girl/guy under my
power) but really I was the gump.
One day I was outside with my trainer, and he was suppose to be
selling perfume and when he did I disappear hop in the train and took
my butt home, it was too cold to be standing out there watching him
sell perfume, Marty didnt even bother to call my house to see what
happen, I could have been kidnapped and she didnt even bother to call
and check to see if anything was wrong. But to all the other people out
there, dont be fooled, you will not be making $572.92 a week.
I know right now times is hard for some people due to the events that
are happening now but dont give up there are real jobs out there that
can help you make some good money and it is NOT Scentura Creations. If
any one is hiring, please contact me at my email, I'm looking for an
office job or if there is something else please contact me, I might
have the skills. Just as long as it is not a scam.

I answered the ad. I thought it was odd that there was no "Candy"
(Call Candy!) anywhere to be seen. I thought it was odd that the
interview went so quickly, that he didn't really seem to care who I
was or how well I would perform in the workplace. I got accepted for a
second interview, even though I was told that it was (paid)training,
and not just another interview, which I didn't find out until I went.
I got suspicious.
I surfed the web. I read the ma*sive amounts of information on
Scentura. I fully understood what people were saying, but I decided to
go ahead and give it a shot.
I went to the second interview. I got psyched with the rest of the
cla*s. I got scared that I wouldn't get picked. I got picked, I got
picked! I got more suspicious.
I came home and read all of the websites, all of the postings, all of
the letters again. I researched the product, because I refuse to rip
people off. I couldn't actually find anything claiming that they sell
bad product, so I held onto a little hope.
I went back. Psyched up and out once again, man this guy knew how to
get the room going. I didn't start to feel bad about it all until they
brought up the "contest", as I knew they would. My whole day went
downhill from there.
Home again, and looking over my notes, I find it all rather
ridiculous. Talking to my room mate and our friend about it, we're in
agreement. Scentura Creations is a fricking cult!
Quotes taken down during training:
"Bad advice comes from- your family, your family, your friends, people
in this room."
"Don't discuss this with your family. They wont understand."
"Remember that money is important. Money CAN buy happiness."
When I wrote it all down, it didn't seem so bad, but looking back at
it...dang! I'm still having a hard time, feeling bad for "giving up"
so quickly..but I know deep in my heart that it's best for me, that
Scentura will not lead me to success, only a panicked state of
failure.
I have come away from all of this with a lesson learned though. I
don't need Scentura Creations, selling perfume (parfume, whatever) on
the street and earning dollars an hour. I can be a success in my life.
I can create that amazing positive energy in those around me. But I'm
going to do it honestly, not by not caring about those I crush on the
way up.

To whom this may concern,
I am glad that you did this article on Scentura Creations. I was
recently involved in this company, for about two weeks, when i started
realizing that I was being brainwashed, and not only that, I wasn't
getting paid for my long hard hours of labor. I really think it is a
shame that they could live with themselves, knowing that they are
scamming young people, and older. I had another job before I started
at Scentura.
They promised me my own office if a number of boxes were sold a week,
but honestly, to even get one in a day is a bit impossible, so I
started to think that maybe they never meant for us to move up all the
way in position.
I was recently at a meeting in Staten Island where I met big promoting
office leaders who filled our head in with all of the success they
have encountered in because of this company. They even showed us a
video on their trip to Las Vegas.
Honestly, I feel bad for those who are still in the program, who have
no idea what they are getting themselves into. Please continue to
spread the word about Scentura Creations. We need to make others like
myself aware of what king of lies they are getting involved with. I
trained out of the Brooklyn office, up until today when I returned my
bottles of perfume, and decided to call this scam quits.
I also know that they are having a huge rally next Saturday. Offices
from all over the U.S. are supposed to be there.
I hope that the news runs another report for everyone involved's sake.
Thank You!
Sincerely, Melissa

I want to say thank you for explaining in better detail all of the
B.S. that this company, Scentura Creations, actually delivers. I was
recently involved in the company as an FNP, but after two weeks, I
decided to call it quits. I realized, and so did family and friends
around me, that I was being brainwashed into thinking that if I stayed
in the program I was a winner, and if I decided to leave, then I was a
failure, and weak at that. I became obsessed with the goal to make
even one dollar.
When I did finally sell a bottle, I had to hand the money to my
promoting manager, and was still left for broke. They expected us to
be on time everyday to work , knowing that we had no money in our
pockets.
When i first came into the company on an interview, I was told that I
would be training to be a manager of an office, and would be making
$30, 000 a year. With this, I agreed to at least give it a shot.
After my first day they started to go over a pitch with us, which had
to be memorized and recited to people in the streets. Out of no where
they started to tell us that we should ignore any negativity because
those who said negative things to us were saying them because they
were jealous, and that when I open my office, those who didn't believe
in me will be begging me for thousands. All of this sounded good to me
of course.
I was all psyched. All I can say now is that whoever started this
whole company has really done a great job teaching people how to be
crooks, and very good liars too might I add. I fell for this company
and I am the one now apologizing to family and friends who tried to
warn me.
I really hope news on this company gets out more to the public so that
they dont make the same mistake that I did.
Thank You! Melissa R.
P.S.
Why is it that when we got the "new dogs" into the office after
orientation, our promoting manager told us that if they have any
questions, don't answer them, tell them to write it down, and the
manager will answer them.?
Also, why is this company still being allowed to go around doing what
they are doing? Is this legal?

*** Scentura Creations certainly does not carry authentic bottles of
perfume or cologne***

Scentura Creations Really Was A Scam
I worked out of one of the two Orlando offices that were being
marketed during my very short and brief time at Scentura Creations.
Contrary to some of the messages posted, Scentura Creations certainly
does not carry authentic bottles of perfume or cologne.
Even during our "orientation", it was clearly explained that they were
imitation perfumes and they explained how a "master perfume mixer"
concocted the perfumes to create a product almost identical to the
real thing. Fortunately, I was smart enough to get out before I had
invested/wasted too much time in a worthless cause.
A lot of fabrications were included during all interviews and
meetings. The biggest lie was that the first day that we actually had
to buddy up and go out with other people to sell the perfume was the
first day that I realized that we would be selling this crap in
parking lots, restaurants, malls, or basically any other place where
there were people.
They sugar-coated business selling tactics by advising us in many,
many words that we would NOT be selling door-to-door but rather
business-to-business as if they had previous consented contacts with
these places we were going. It was quite embarra*sing to have to
confront people with a fake product in hopes of actually selling it
only to be either ignored, laughed at or pushed away.
I think I worked 4 days and made a measly $90 and worked basically 12
hour days. I can also say that it was not a professional office
environment and a lot of cursing and derogatory comments were made for
those who by their terms couldn't cut it. These distribution owners
seemed desperate to get people out on the street to sell the products
that in my own eyes were clear imitations and lacked the name behind
it to push a sell. But at the time, I was young and willing to do just
about anything to make a paycheck although everything was purely
commission.
I pondered whether or not it was just an isolated case with myself or
if this is how they really operated and thanks to reading this I
realized that it was indeed a rip off. I can remember at the beginning
of the meeting there were like 19 people and I thought to myself how
stiff the competition was but as people started to just leave and not
show up the next day or people that voluntarily just left, I started
to think why.
The ironic part of it is that the distribution owners didn't even
accompany us on these outings as if we knew what the H*ll we were
doing. I was promised a management position just like the rest of us
but the actual condition of the "distribution center"/office was
pretty bare and bated.
I'm glad that I left while I could and I have a much, much better job
now with a regular paycheck and stability behind it. They target
predominantly young people because we are too arrogant to grasp the
idea that there is no such thing to quick money. With this quick money
comes a lot of hard work in which you should get compensated for
fairly. I hope that people read this.

We are currently planning to show up on Monday for the "training" with

of $$ doing this job?
They just aim to people with low esteem that think they can't do
anything and tell them they can. Why do you think they don't want you
to listen to other people other than them? So they can keep you, cause
the other people are right and they know it.
If you work for them, you'll mess up family, friendships, your career,
and your credit. Also, if you have a car, you would be the one always
driving. ‘Cause half of the people they hire don't even have a car.
And your car will get lots of miles and start to run bad.
I was stupid enough to do it for 2 months. I dropped out of college. I
messed up my credit. Probably the worst mistake of my life.
They don't tell you everything you need to know before you start
working. You find out the real deal through the employees who have
been there longer and are not getting anywhere either. That's how I
found out and got out.
I was lucky enough back then that I had a nighttime job to keep things
afloat a little bit. And I was lucky enough not to quit that job. I
would strongly suggest if you seriously want to do it, to at least
keep a night time job, cause you'll need it since you'll be stepping
into a bad situation anyways.
It's been about 2 years now. I'm doing so much better off than I would
ever at Stinktura Creations. I work for an insurance company and I
bartend part time 2 days a week. I'm loving life. I must thank that if
it wasn't for Stinktura Creations being such a bad business, I
wouldn't be enjoying life as I do now. I have a girlfriend, I see
beautiful girls at work, I have a professional job, I don't have to be
out in that crazy weather, and most importantly, I'm enjoying my
NISSAN 350Z that I just bought 2 months ago. Sucktura couldn't do that
for me. You see, there is a better life out there. Yes I might be
paying a big monthly payment, but you know what? AT LEAST I AM ABLE
TO. If I was with Stinktura, there is no way I would have been able to
do it. By the time you do own your own office, you'd be behind in so
many bills, and not only that, but you would have even more bills.
And their fragrances are not even that good! Please, learn from other
people's mistakes. That's what life's about.
Find something else, cause you know what? You are better than that.

Dear Rachel -
Let me start by saying that if you had read a few other boards and
even a couple of other post on this one you would have realized that
not everyone posting dropped out the first couple of days or so.
I personally completed the "training" program and opened a location
for Scentura. My position has never been one to bash the company - it
has always been to fill in some of the blanks left out during the 1st
and 2nd interview and the 1st couple of days of training. I believe
that knowledge is power and that everyone should know from the start
exactly what the "training" involves and how the company works.
As for being a pyramid marketing scheme - please go to the Better
Business Bureau web site @ www.atlanta.bbb.org and pull up Scentura 's
home office in Atlanta, GA.
Under business description it plainly states "PYRAMID MARKETING". Your
description of a pyramid isn't quite accurate either. See - the way
you make the big bucks in a pyramid is to be on top (or have a lot
more people beneath you) that way you get a percentage of their
profit. That happens in Scentura - duh?!?!
The money you turn in for the bottles - some goes to your promoting
office and some goes back to the home office and the rest you get to
pocket. Well if you haven't noticed yet - Scentura and your promoting
office get the same amount regardless if you sell your bottles for $27
or $20 - it's your pocket money that's affected by the decrease in
price. So if they get the same amount per bottle regardless of price
and there's an office with 5 people selling then guess what - Scentura
gets their piece first - then the promoting office gets their piece -
and you, the trainee, get the leftovers. Thus clearly making this a
pyramid or multi-level marketing company because the guys on top keep
getting richer regardless if the product goes for $27, $20, $15 so on
and so on. Why do you think that you are told you can reduce the price
if need be?!?! Because your promoters are getting paid before you
regardless.
With all of that being said - my stand on the subject is that if
Scentura is not doing anything wrong or if it's such a great
opportunity why not in the 2nd interview say "hey - here's the deal -
we want you to sell perfume in parking lots, gas stations, etc at all
hours of the day so that we can make our money to keep our doors open
and place ads and if by chance you can sell the stuff for 20 - 27
dollars a bottle then we'll let you keep the 2 - 7 dollars that's left
over after we get our cut and Scentura gets theirs".
And they get on your back about training because if you can get in
your office and recruit people to sell the stuff then guess what -
they still get a cut of that. So yeah - they want you in your office
because it's more $$$ for them.
Good luck in your endeavors with Scentura - just know that sometimes
the things right in front of your nose are the hardest to see and
figure out.

Amen!
There will always be the people who are believing the hype and will
only recall on some distant cold and moneyless night the warning they
were given by a person who had already dredged that ditch!
The pitch is a good one... and I actually did quite well (or so I
thought) with Scentura nearly 16 years ago. The "better" I did and the
"higher" I got in the company the less money I had in my pocket and
the less time I had for ANYTHING else.
Yeah, it has been around a while but so has the bait and switch scam
and the buy to help the handicapped scam... there will always be a new
crop of young inexperienced "managers" to take the place of those of
us who wised up. They want to believe they can leave their minimum
wage lifestyle and become everything their "new family" promises them.
Yep, I absolutely loved the people I worked under and thought they
only had my very best interests at heart.
Then I saw my trainer get wise and leave. The higher-ups had blame for
her and openly chastised (supposedly using her as an example for the
rest of us to learn from) this person who had been ringing that 10
item quota bell every day ~ they said she was an example of what we
should avoid.
The Rachels of the world will have to learn those lessons the hard way
by having to give up things (in order to buy their own products to
make quota)... frivolous things like groceries or heat!
Wait until she gets picked up by the police for soliciting and tries
to call her "support team" for help.
I applaud you for trying to save some poor sap from getting sucked
down that tube and thank you myself from the bottom of my heart for
saving the few who were wise enough to heed your warning!

Okay, my name is Jess.
I would go on about my experience with this horrible company, but it's
the same story every time.
All I know it seemed really fishy and I did research. I've even called
the office asking about what I found about them from the BBB. Okay the
office name "right now" is "TWI" Titian Wholesale... okay... the
"manager" Jennifer Hessman said this really fast.. and I wonder why
would a national company be called this? Now come on! To catch
Tennessee's eyes?
Well I called the BBB and had them fax me info... The BBB doesn't even
know they are going by TWI now. The BBB said it's called Ultimate
Concepts, and also they do business as Sauna Ultimate Creations. Phone
numbers are 615-360-3418, 615-366-5380, 615-366-7282. Address 2285
Mufreesboro Pike Suite 216 Nashville TN 37217. The class starts Jan 2.
My plan is to print up all the info I can about this, and give it to
the "trainees" before they start.
I hope to God they didn't quit their other jobs. I also plan on going
into the office and asking what the hell is going on. And drop info
off to Jennifer.
Is there really a Larry Hahn at all?
Please before you go into this, ask yourself questions.... a coworker
of mine, friend did this and they would be dropped off at the mall in
another city to sell perfume. I mean come on... I would never by
perfume from someone on the street.
I do know that the IRS does not like this business, so be careful.
This is a fishy thing. I guess it can be done, but whatever get a real
job!

Samantha Kimble From: evet...@yahoo.com
I believe I started on the 3rd week in September. I had my firt
interview with this 19-year-old young lady that I thought was at least
23 or 24. Her name was Shari Taylor and there were other owners as
well. Oliver Mendoza and Alison Brenn.
When I had my first interview, Shari wanted to get to know me. She ask
me could I manage at least 15-20 people and I told her yes.
In the second interview it was about 20 people in the classroom. She
went over who was the owner and founder of Scentura Creations and that
was Larry Hahn. She made a statement about how he has millions of
dollars and how he and his wife drives a Mercedes. She also mentioned
a man and his wife named Marc and Carol Schottenfield and they are
under Larry Hahn, but instead of them having the same company name
there's were HWMI. The regional office was called ATS with Steve and
Dana Tejeda. EMO is under Lisa Piccione-President and MIA-Management
In Action was the office I was in with Shari Taylor and Marie Simon.
The office is located Winter Springs in Winter Springs Plaza.
I was there for 4 days and the only reason I stayed was because I
wanted to find out what this was all about.
At first she had me thinking that I was training to be a manager in a
store with actual employees. She wouldn't tell you everything at once,
because she had I would have been gone the first day.
They are very tricky and I just thank God I had my eyes opened. You
know they would ask you personal questions in the meetings like What
is your favorite sexual position? and a lot more stuff. They would be
cursing and I found that to be very unprofessional.
What made me quit was the lies were beginning to surface and one of
the girls in the class quit and she contacted us and told us it was a
scam.
I was also on the streets in the hot sun looking on as the field
managers sold the perfume. I got tired of that. They would sell the
bottles for $27.00 the office would get 10, I would get 7, and the
rest would go to Larry Hahn. If you didn't sell any bottles you just
didn't get any money.
Don't let them fool you they are a scam. Now that this has happened to
me I am more cautious who I go and work for. Now I look up who I work
for to make sure they are legit.

From: cas...@hotmail.com
Another message from Cassidee and how she was scammed:
http://dcregistry.com//forums/employment/messages/5996.html
You will NEVER get a paycheck from these people. Your first 2-4 weeks
will be extremely HARD to get through. Your first 2 to 3 days is spent
more in the classroom going over what 'PITCH' will work best for you.
By the end of your first week meaning on Friday you will leave the
office earlier and be paired up in teams of at least 2 usually 4
depending on the size of the 'class'.
Walking the streets dropping (selling) bottles of perfume. During your
first week you will be sent home with a list and 1 to 4 bottles
depending on the owner so that your friends and family can 'try' the
product and buy if the wish. These bottles will sell from $27 to $35
again depending on the owner. You will be charged $22 for each of
these bottles the remainder is yours to keep. If you sell more than 5
bottles in order to lure you in they will drop your price of the
bottles down to $18 or $20, so on average you have made about $50 for
those few hours of your time, which seems really good.
Once on the street though you will find out that it will be impossible
to sell these bottles for that price because you will learn about the
$20.00 Hussle. Just like all of those gimmick infomercials on TV our
product is ONLY $19.95. On average everybody has at least a $20 bill
on them at all times. The perfume is an impulse item, you have to
convince the person that they have to have it or manage to remind them
of someone who may like it as a gift. The fun comes in when you're
teamed up with someone trying to make Senior Manager who is selling
the bottles 3 for $45 just to make volume and profit only a $1 a
bottle just so that they can hit their 60 bottle quota before the end
of the week.
On average it's around the 6th week before you start making any money
at all and believe me it's not but a few dollars and you have to eat
and put gas in your car.
When you go away to do satellite's you will always be at least 4 hours
from home. Everyone I ever went on I was always at least 8 hours from
home. Here whoever is the manager of the satellite and the asst
manager they are given 2 bottles at $10 each. They have to drop these
bottles equally out to $40 when sold to pay for the room. This has to
be done every night you are away. Which means if you don't drop all
the bottles required for the room you have NOWHERE to stay. Another
problem that happens in the area you're going to it may be hard to
find a room for less than $40. Which means you have to drop bottles on
top of bottles earning $2 to $5 (depending how far along you are in
the training and what your pay in is) dollars off of each bottle to
finish paying for the room. Everybody shares 1 room. Could be 2 girls,
2 guys, all guys, all girls, 3 girls, 1 guy etc... These rooms will
have 2 beds that you will have to decide who sleeps with whom. Most
owners will NOT permit the managers to allow you to call home because
many times a crisis at home will distract you and you won't be as
'productive'.
Above all be prepared to spend endless hours walking parking lots,
going business to business, hustle hustle hustle, dropping bottles
left and right.
Eventually money can be made. But it's a LONG and ROCKY road to the
first few notches on the pole because this late into the program you
will NEVER make it all the way to the top like they try to lead you
into believing. There's far too many other people doing it. And as the
old sayings go it takes money to make money, to be successful you have
to look and act successful. You will be flat broke, out of gas, hungry
which will force you to keep hustling and dropping bottles just to be
able to have enough money for a few bucks of gas and maybe a coke and
a candy bar.
The last office I opened up was in Orlando and I was there about 3
months before I had others 'trained' to take over it. Before I went on
elsewhere to start up another office. The most I ever made was in
Pensacola, Fl out of an office there and that was around $5000 a
month. But this takes at least a year to achieve.
If you have the time to devote to this. You can cut loose from all
responsibilities for a few months. If you have the money to insure all
your bills are paid until money starts coming in. If you're ready to
commit 100% to it. If you're ready to do WHATEVER it takes to sell a
bottle just to have $2 to buy yourself a coke. Then maybe it's for
you. Just make sure you don't get burned. It's very easily done. And
happens far more times than anyone will ever admit to it.
I gave them the opportunity to screw me by going somewhere to open an
office up that I couldn't get back and confront them face to face
within a few hours time.
It is a risky business to be involved with. You have to use extreme
caution at all times. The decision is yours.
Good Luck,
Cass

my older sister who once worked for them last year.
Well let me tell you, you come to Scentura, they will take your money
($20 for your background check which is non refundable) and sucker
you.
For those of you currently working for Scentura, you will realize that
you're being taken for a ride. You turn in $20 each bottle, and
usually have to work long tiring hours, days, nights, weekends, and
let me tell you it's hell.
Not many people want cheap perfume! Especially with our unstable
economy and the possibility of war with Iraq, and with rising gas
prices, if you do sell bottles, you're lucky if they give you anything
extra just for gas.
What Scentura does is they trick people into giving them your money.
They will work you like a dog out in the streets soliciting, (they
tell you not to use words like sell, solicit) but that's what you're
doing.
Those "managers" are nothing but dirty crooks preying on the young and
naive. Well, if you are still there, more power to you, I would never

max $40 a day, don't trust these brainwashed individuals who say it's
not a scam.
-
Those who figured it out are smart, not "fat heifers" as this guy
says. How old are you buddy? 12? He is like all the others roped in to
this. They are programmed to believe only what the company and
trainers tell them. They say "don't listen to your family and friends.
They are just jealous that you are doing something to become
successful."
-
Don't believe their lies. It's a way for them to basically use slave
labor, semi-legitly, and make themselves rich.
-
If you fell for their scam, and got brainwashed into thinking that
running an office will make you rich, I hope you have no soul, because
you will be recruiting slave-labor the same way you were recruited,
and brainwashing young and some older people into working 14 hour days
for as minimal as $5 or less.
-
My second day in the "field" I worked my a** of for 5 hours in a
parking lot, and gas station, peddling perfume, and sold one bottle.
That day I made $5, enough to pay for the gas to get from the office
back home. All that for an 8-hour training day? I should have made at
least min. wage.
-
What they are doing is illegal, and should be shut down. Please make a
complaint with the Better Business Bureau (which most of them are
listed with) and the labor board. [This is worthless, write the

Creations, you'll see tons of post on how much of a scam it is, the
only good you find is from those scamming YOU!
The Scammers wrote in one post.... blah blah blah blah......... ":
Scentura is the ONLY OPPORTUNITY OF ITS KIND in America!
Trust your gut instinct and work hard. You have everything to gain and
nothing to lose. Unfortunately this is the only company to offer an
absolutely FREE business to ANYONE who works hard.
With that comes the slandering from people who did not work hard
enough. It's never their fault. If you take your advice from failures,
scroll to the bottom of the page to be talked out of it.
Okay now here is the truth, they are a scam.
Anyone who knows anything about web page design can tell that by
looking at their website. Check out the code. Its as basic as you get.
Some idiot got a "For Dummies" book and went from there, a 10 yr. old
can do that kind of coding with a book, you copy it changing the words
they have for the words you want. A big company making so much money
would spend thousands to have a great website, to stay up to date and
competitive these people didn't!
Secondly, look for contact info, do you see anything that tells you
how to contact them if you are interested in a job opportunity? NO, do
you know why? They only have the site, so those who do not know much
about computers/websites may think oh, they have a site, they must be
O.K. Well they are NOT!
Another reason they don't have contact info, they use other names like
CREATIVE IMAGES, PROGRESSIVE ACCENTS etc. Even when they advertise,
they don't tell you the company name. The alias changes from place to
place, so you just have to watch out!
So as for your B.S about look at our site we are so Great, think again
you are so lame!
Don't trust them.
Also, you know that "background" check you go through, and they pay
for, B.S. I know someone who went through their so called background
check, he was a convicted criminal, and on parol, they didn't him, me
or anyone else, that's why they pay for it.

Thank you to you and everyone else who has posted info about this
"company" on this and many other sites and boards. When I put their

I had my 2nd interview, the "group" interview today. The whole time, I
kept thinking something didn't feel right. The more they talked, the
stronger the feeling got.
I am in St Petersburg, FL. I interviewed with Jessica, and then had
the group thing today with Jessica and Alan. They are both quite
young, and talked about how much money they are making, and how the
"company has changed my life".
They did not get me with an ad about "Be Your Own Boss" or "Management
Trainee" or anything like that, because I don't respond to ads like
that. The ad I responded to was---
"Receptionist/Customer Service. Fun & Fast Paced Office. No
Experience. 727-000-0000." When I went in to interview for the
receptionist position, I was told that I could interview for that
position which had a fixed hourly rate of $6.50/per hour, or if I was
interested in better money, I could try for a position in the
"Management Trainee Program" and make a guaranteed $30,000 a year.
I will be contacting the local news about this company. Again, Thank

He was going out everyday, selling more than anyone else in the store,

only said great things about the company. He worked his butt off for

He said they told him at work that before he could get paid, he had to

Now my kids have sat here with out the things they need for one month

You were picked because they thought you would sell the most perfume

a possibility that Someone, even you COULD join the pyramid at the
bottom, and eventually work high enough up to make some money.
-
The drawbacks are:
-
1) Most Scentura rings take Legal "Shortcuts". Selling perfume with
out a peddlers' license, or trying to say that if a few upper
"management" people have licenses, it's OK to "Train" you and other
people with no licenses to sell items on the street is not legal.
Generally the police will warn or bother people about it, but with the
world as corrupt as it is today, very rarely will they imprison anyone
for it. It's not a serious crime, but if your outfit of Scentura does
it, know that they are taking a shortcut to save money.
-
2) Pyramid Scams in them selves CAN be done legally. (Look up the huge
Company "AM-WAY" (American Way)) But again if you take shortcuts, Like
NOT HAVING the EMPLOYIES fill out US Government TAX Forms (W-10's
etc), you are not only breaking the law, but the IRS can be a Nasty
agency and WILL go after any Scentura branch that avoids US Income Tax
Regulation.
-
NOTE: A funny Story to relate: If this lack of income Tax forms
applies to the Scentura "Office" you are working under (Making money
for the "management" people who run the pyramid (which you and 16
others form the bottom layer of), and the people mistreat you in ANY
WAY, or EVER THREATEN YOU IN ANY WAY. Walk away quietly and CALL the
IRS as soon as you get home. They would just Love to hear from you,
and have IRS agents in every city looking out for Scentura rings.
-
3) If you want to start a new pyramid and MAKE SOME MONEY YOURSELF. It
CAN be done, BUT basically you have to work your butt off (blisters on
feet etc.), and make Money for the "management" people who run the
pyramid (which you and 16 others form the bottom layer of). There are
Trainers who make a small percentage off each bottle, upper "Managers
who make a percent" and the people who trained them YEARS AGO get a
small percent, and the People who trained those people (sometimes
10-15 years Earlier) get a percent of any bottle YOU SELL. Even the
company's founders get a percentage by "marking up" the bottle prices.
This is somewhat ingenious and not quite money laundering, not quite.
-
Here's the real pain. People who got into the Scentura pyramids back
in the 70's are on top, they get a cut of EVERY Sale of people under
them, sometimes several hundreds or thousands of people. You are
entering the pyramid 30 years too late, so if you are Extremely lucky
and do everything legally like using permits and TAXES, you are still
supporting 30 years of people above you, and paying Many, many people
who have long since "retired".
-
Once you've made sufficient money for those people (now called
"training), the top person (sometimes called regional/district
manager) can either fire you or he can "hire" you and let you "train"
and new group of people under him. Then you are no longer the bottom
of their pyramid, you can get a percentage of sales for people under
you.
-
IN THE END, You CAN POSSIBLY Make money; however, you have to
"motivate" Loads of people Under you to work their butts off for you.
You have to fill their heads with Dreams of success and consciously
take advantage of them so they make money for you. If you can do all
of this and not be unhappy using the dreams of others, then consider
it. In this corrupt world, people do far, far worse things to make a
living, but be aware that in addition to praying on the hopes and
dreams of people who "train" under you, This IS a pyramid scam, and
you have to work from the bottom up and support 30 years of Scentura
"management" in the Process.
It's up to you.

-
First off, YOU ARE VERY SMART TO DO YOUR RESEARCH! Second, get the
hell away from this "company" as fast as you can! They are truly a
scam! Here's my story from 1991...
-
I was just out of school and responded to one of their "Management
Positions Available - NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED!" ads in the newspaper.
(OKAY, THIS IS B.S.!! NO COMPANY IS GOING TO HIRE PEOPLE WITH NO
EXPERIENCE, SO THERE'S YOUR FIRST CLUE!) I interviewed with them and
they told me I was "really sharp" and would "be perfect for the job"!
B.S.! I HAD A PULSE! That is the only requirement!
-
Anyway, they told me I would be in charge of "marketing and
distribution" of their line of fragrance products.
-
In their defense, that isn't a lie, it's just misleading as hell!
-
When I arrived for my first day of "work", I was surrounded by about
12-15 other "sharp individuals", many had QUIT THEIR PREVIOUS JOB to
come to this hole! The "managers" then told of their "rise to
greatness", how this company is so fun and how you've gotta be "fired
up" to succeed. They bragged about getting thrown out of the
Omni Hotel for being loud and boisterous at one of their "meetings".
They cussed like sailors and didn't directly answer A SINGLE QUESTION!
-
I was starting to get a bit uneasy when suddenly we were handed boxes
of knock-off, crappy perfume and were told to hit the streets with our
"managers". (The requirement to be a "manager"... sell 100 bottles a
week!) I about had a coronary! I hit the roof and threatened to call
the BBB, the news media and anyone else who would let me vent. They
calmed me down and talked me into "trying it".
-
I then went out with "Bob", a burned-out complete idiot who dressed
like a homeless bum! But, he was "fired up" and "nothing's gonna stop
me from dropping 100 bottles this week!" We went into dozens of
businesses and literally got thrown out of 95% of them! I was so
ashamed of myself... what had I reduced myself to? A F**KING PEDDLER
SELLING KNOCK-OFF CRAP! I refused to sell this crap, it was garbage
and I knew it! I STILL remember the "sales pitch"... "Listen, really
quick. My manager's told me I gotta sell this stuff before I can go
back to the office. I normally sell it for $40, but for you I'll take
$20. Okay?" The response 95% of the time? :
-
"NO! GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE BEFORE I CALL THE COPS!" The other 5%
would laugh at us, I honestly think they felt sorry for us.
-
When I got back to the office (about 5:30 PM!), I turned in my box and
told them I wanted my training pay and I was quitting. Their response?
"You don't get any training pay because you quit and you can't take
the heat!"
-
I WENT OFF! I called every name I could think of and stormed out! It's
Karma that they are FINALLY being shut down... they have done this
THROUGHOUT AMERICA for YEARS AND YEARS!
-
Memo to "Larry Hahn", (you know, the "founder" of this "company"?):
"Go back to sleeping in your f**king car, you piece of dog sh*t! GO TO
HELL!"

I also worked at "Majestic Enterprises" in Santa Monica nearly 10
years ago. I was new to the area, recent college grad and responded to
one of the "no experience needed" ads.
-
I was pretty much brain washed. I stayed with the "company" nearly a
month because they had convinced me that anyone could do this and that
I was lazy and a loser if I couldn't.
-
On my best sales day I dropped 8 bottles; theoretically that would be
pretty d*mn good if anyone would had bought even one for the
"suggested price" of $30. For most of them I never made more than $5 a
bottle. Most days I sold zero (after 12 hours!) and even the top
"managers" who were still pounding the pavement selling this crap
never sold more than 2 or 3.
-
I was so broke, but I was convinced that I had to stick it out or I
would be a complete failure. I finally got fed up when I led a "road
trip". Our car broke down on the side of the freeway about 40 miles
from home. We walked for miles and ended up taking a bus and ended up
in downtown LA at 3 am.
-
When I turned in my crap the next day, the guy who ran the office told
me what a loser I was for not taking the opportunity to sell more,
since we had so much more time on the streets (a 22 year old female
walking around downtown LA at 3 am?!). Give me a break!
-
They guy who ran the office was a pretty slick 20 year old "rising
star" named Eric Coffin. I wouldn't be surprised if the age and name
were made up, but he did look young--he'd be about 28-30 now. I'm sure
the office has long since closed since this was back in 1993.
Especially since things were already spiraling down when I left--we
were kicked out of everywhere again and again within 5 miles of our
office.
-
One of the last things I heard about the office was that during a
"push week" when the distribution offices compete for the most sales,
was that he had hired every single person who responded to the ads
(imaging scraping the very bottom of the sludge barrel after you've
been recruiting the same "no-experience necessary!" crowd for 3
months) just to get high numbers. We heard that not one person he
hired sold one bottle of that crappy perfume for the contest. That was
a good one. I can only hope that guy's living in a box somewhere.

I am also a college graduate looking for a career, and when I stumbled
upon an article in the newspaper that said "wild and crazy
environment, and no experience necessary" I jumped at the
opportunity!!!
-
I went on my first interview and the general manager was not much
older than me and had only been working for the company for 6 weeks.
She avoided all my questions about what the job really consisted of,
but told me that I was very pretty and I would have no problem during
the "training period." This statement lead me to believe that the
position had something to do with sales, though shady I was intrigued
by the "potential" income involved so I went for my second "group
interview."
-
After attending the group interview, which was filled with profanity
and lots of empty promises. I noticed the manager wasn't really
telling us what this job was really about, all she really talked about
was how much money you would make!!
-
Well, in the end I made "the final cut" but after really thinking
about the "interview" and doing some research I decided against this
whole thing....and I thank everybody for expressing their thoughts and
informing us of this scam!!!!

I too had just graduated from college and was looking for a full time
job. I was working at a local mall and was having a difficult time
finding anything full-time. I was either under qualified or over
qualified for all the jobs I was interviewing for.
-
When I read the add they were looking for inexperienced manager
trainees. I called the number and was set up an interview time. I went
in for the interview and a guy named Billy conducted it. There was
very loud music that was playing. Billy was not much older than me. He
told me that if I was selected I would be called back for a second
interview at around 5:30 that evening.
-
Sure enough, they called me that evening.
-
I went in for the second interview and they told me that they would be
conducting it in a group and the music was still blaring. The room was
completely filled up. Billy told us that they were going to make their
decision on who was going to be hired that day and if you were chosen
you would have to be available to work by Monday. He told us that
everyone would not be chosen. That was the first lie. Everyone in the
room was called out to be chosen.
-
I quit my job at the mall (that was bringing in a steady income) to go
be a "manager" and make $52,000 a year. The first day I was there for
"work" we got a series of motivational speeches and they let us smell
each bottle of perfume. The next day they told us we were going to go
and sell it. None of us were quite sure what that meant.
-
I found myself driving around town with a complete stranger because we
where paired up with other people trying to sell perfume on street. I
did moderately well and each day we would have to go out and try to
sell again.
-
I began conversing among other people who were in the class and we
were all under the impression that we would be getting paid a regular
paycheck that never came. I got paired up with two girls to go out and
peddle perfume and we began talking about our situation.
-
We were all skeptical about this business because Billy and Sarah gave
us speeches on how much money were making in this business and we were
struggling to put gas in the car.
-
Instead of going to peddle perfume that day, we went to a local
library and looked Scentura up on the Internet and found posting after
posting of the scam they were running.
-
We immediately went back to turn in our bottles of perfume and started
the job hunt all over again. We were told that we were quitters and
could not handle the hard work. We thought it would be best to leave
as quietly as possible as that they had our social security numbers,
driver's license number and address all in their files.
-
However, we did print the information and put it on our fellow
classmates cars.
-
Fortunately for me I only lost a couple tanks of gas and four days. I
got another job within a week and was drawing a regular paycheck and
paying taxes along with receiving health benefits. I learned a
valuable lesson out of this. I research a company now before I go to
work for them.

Thanks for letting me share!

>>>Hello. My name is Will (i go by that name) and today will be my
last day. I've been in it for only less then a week. I'm so glad I
researched on it. I would have been broke! Let me tell you how I went
about researching about it:
-
>>>Today was my first day being in the "field", selling perfumes out
in the street. I rode with a so-called manager that was training me
and 3 other people. We had to trip in for gas which I understood.
-
First of all, I was not aware of selling out in the streets or
business to business the whole day. They just told us that our trainer
was going to show us how territory works so when we have our own
business we can show others. So we followed our trainer and started
selling. I just watched her sell and I thought oh boy, I thought we
weren't going to sale, what is she doing? I just went along and we
eventually had to go somewhere else.
-
While in the car, we asked about our paycheck and all other questions
concerning the business. Our trainer did not want to answer any of
them. But we kept on asking and asking and finally she made us realize
that we were getting paid by selling perfume, meaning it was strictly
commission!
-
So at the end of day I only made $2.00, because nobody wanted to pay
25 or 30 dollars for it. So I sold it for $20 and $2 tip. That's all!
After all that hard work. I became speechless was not motivated at
all. I couldn't wait to tell others, especially with the ones I got to
know. I mean I have bills to pay. I can't waste my time doing this.
We got back to the office and I actually sat there still listening to
some more bullsh*t, thinking they were going to mention about
paycheck. But not a bit. After the meeting I talked to a few and got
home and started the research. I can't believe what I was reading.
>>>>>>But let me tell you something that really upset me:
On my 2nd day, they had said Larry Hann, or whatever had called saying
about a contest. We had to sell 10+ bottles to go to satellite (which
you might be familiar) and whoever sells the most wins $400. So I went
out there and busted my a**. I had all my friends and family buy from
me. I end up selling 21 bottles making me the top. But I did NOT get
any money!!!!! I had asked for it but they told me we did not hit
group goal. I mean what the f***!! I still want my money. Better yet
they had sell more over the weekend, I tried and sold 2, thinking I
might still get my money. But NOBODY got any money! My parents and
family wasted their money because of me. I feel very bad.
>This was a waste of time. I could've gone out there and look for a
decent paying job. Now I'm struggling to pay my bills for this month
and the next month.
>>>I am actually here in Las Vegas, Nevada. The business name is
"World Wide Industries". They said they were expanding offices here
from Riverside, CA.
>>>I feel we people should stop this because they are just going get
bigger and rip the innocent and good people off. I will do something
about it.
>>>Please email me at ladyo...@yahoo.com especially Las Vegas who
were victims of this crap.
Thank you so much people!

Well basically I have been with the company a little over a week. I
have basically made maybe 125.00 in almost 2 weeks.
I quit a decent paying job with a weekly paycheck to take this
"awesome opportunity" or so they said. I am going on my second FUN CAR
tomorrow but just got this link emailed to me so I figured I should
check it out.
Now I am definitely confused and highly pissed. Basically they have
kept me with the company telling us all we were WPS (weak pieces of
s#!t) if we quit. So I kept on because they made me believe it would
all be worth it. And of course I have had my doubts but as a naive 21
yr old mother of one I believed them.
I was a little curious how someone could give me this kind of
opportunity seeing that I never graduated high school or had a GED and
never have attended any college.
But I guess now I am thankful to all of you for your information
because now I won't be going tomorrow. And if you could send me all
the information you have I would love to help bring these a**holes
down.
I work out of the Louisville Kentucky office (Hustling back to the
sunshine dazzlers) with Adam & Brooke Burton. And I think it is shi*y
and pitiful that the only thing they have better to do is play with
peoples lives like this. So to anyone who wants to voice their opinion
the office # is 502-479-3005 or call toll free at 1-866-479-3005.
So anyway thanks to everyone you have saved my child and me a great

Supposedly, they're opening up a "new location" in my area!!!
I, like all of you, responded to the $600/week bogus add in the paper.
I did have a weird feeling about it though..... it never listed the
name of the company. Just how this site explained so they won't get
caught by the Better Business Bureau.
There was nothing about "SCENTURA CREATIONS" in the add. When you call
they answer the phones with, "Wholesale Products" or something like
that. That's what it even says on the outside of the door and on the
directory at the bottom of the building.
This place was NASTY!! There were so many people walking in and out
of this crusty place (most of them w/ cigarettes in their mouths. I
only saw 2 chairs and a pen was hard to come by.
I could tell that the application was bogus, but hey... why not give a
"company" the benefit of the doubt? You could tell that the office had
just been moved into...there was yucky artwork from the business
before.
I'm glad that I didn't have a good feeling about this crap in the
first place. I would LOVE to bust these people!!!! I'm in Houston. The
poor conned kid that "interviewed" me couldn't give me an exact time
as to when the "new location" would open. Anyways, you email me and
tell me whom I should contact about this!!!!

even lied to other people for them. When I was about to get my

it.
Well my "partner" sold them cheap without me knowing and then told the

though I obviously wanted to quit, James LeBlanc demanded to be payed

my credit was ruined, I was deeply in debt, had alienated my family
and friends and worst of all lost all self respect. It was the worst
experience of my life.
Well I managed to turn everything around and am doing very well today
with a very good career. Since then I basically tried to forget the
whole experience and move on.
Well a couple months ago I was headed back to my car at a mall in

and I wasn't. I sat in my Acura as she climbed into a 1983 ford
festiva with 4 other people and drove off. I couldn't believe
I used to be one of those ignorant people and would act so stupid.
Ever since I have been trying to figure out a way to stop it.

I recently lost my job and I was looking for a new position somewhere
when I saw an ad saying "If you're not making at least $600 a week
apply with us! No experience necessary for a manager, we will train!
So I call this number and I get a interview and I'm so excited.
When I get there was a group of people in a conference room all there
for the same position. So my turn comes and my interview was only 5
mins. long. The same as the people before me. Louise (the vice
president of Atlantic Coastline Impressions) asked me what my
qualities or values were. I told her punctuality and communication.
She liked that, so she told me I made it to a second interview and to
call the next day to find out when it was. I was ecstatic! Wow I
thought all that money and I made it to the second interview, which is
usually the job in hand.
Well I went to the second interview. A group interview. I was
scared. What was I here for? Could all 30 people be here to be a
manager? I knew the company was expanding but my goodness. So I
stayed anyway. The next thing I knew I was hired. It still sounded
good. I think that the only thing that got me to stay was the
motivational aspects of the presentation. So I start Mon. Great I
can't wait.
Monday comes I sit in the same classroom. No money was paid, just
talks about how much to sell perfume for and to start with family and
friends. The next day we were given a box of perfume and told to
sell. We had to make 50 transactions to be "promoted" to the next
level. By this point I was sick.
So I stuck with it because Dirk (the so called owner of the company,
Atlantic Coastline Impressions, a.k.a. chic enterprises) kept talking
about the money and all that could come from this position.
The next day (day 3) we had a meeting in the same classroom and then
we were told we had to work the field so we can learn from this and
use it for when we become managers. I then found out that the field
was nothing short of illegal. We had no license to sell this perfume
or "renditions" and were never told we needed one. We walked in the
service department of car sales places, in the back door of
restaurants, you name where you're not suppose to be and we were
there. I was so embarrassed. I was for that day, a person who I
despised the most. So the day ended and I said to myself okay well
tomorrow will be different. We went back to the office and we got our
motivational talk and that stuck us around.
So the next day I was in the field again. This day we got tail gated
by an unhappy customer. Apparently Brandon, (someone who had been
with the company for 9 months as he said) had made a sale and the guy
changed his mind and wanted his money back. Brandon said sorry all
sales are final and told us to get in to the car quickly. Why? This
guy was going to follow us. Okay, I'm driving and I have this guy
tail gating me in a bad section of town. Wonderful job!
So we head back to the office. A trainee like myself and I talked
over these situations we had been put in over the last 2 days. The
next thing you knew I was at the office the next morning with my box
in hand telling them to keep the perfume. I brought in all of the
information I had found out about world perfume. I even spoke to Dirk
(the owner of this company Atlantic Coastline Impressions, a.k.a. chic
enterprises) Dirk fed me with all of the typical lines. He tried to
make a sale of his company's ethics to facts and me. I could tell
they all had something to hide.
Hey if this type of business works for them fine. I will be happy
living in my normal home with my loving husband working at a normal
job. At least I know I wont be tail gated for dishonesty and I will
wake up every morning thanking God for a "real" job!

first day. So it's obvious that there is some truth if you're way on
the other side of the U.S. and can tell me what is going on and you
don't even know me I feel bad and more so upset because I got my
family to help "Support" me. What kind of crap is that. I'm scamming
my own family out of their hard earned money and that is beyond
disgusting and disrespectful. But they make everything sound so great
that you will be your own boss and its sad that they like to take
other people's dreams and make a mockery out of them. But in the end
one day someone will catch them and they will hit rock bottom so fast
they won't know what hit them. I mean look at MCI WorldCom or Enron
But thanks again for the most Valuable, INFORMATIVE info. Now I have
to go and be embarrassed in front of everyone I told. But one last
question for all those who like to get rich off of stealing innocent
dreams, HOW DO YOU SLEEP AT NIGHT?!?!?!

I want to thank the writer of this article for saving me from a grave
mistake. I was "hired on Thursday and suspected it was a scam job
which is why I looked up Scentura creations on the web to see if it
actually existed and I found this. I am going to go to the office
tomorrow a little early and hand out the copy I made of this to
everyone to save them the heartache and agony that others have gone
through and on behalf of my "co-works and myself" thank you.

Recently I answered ad for a receptionist position and I ended up
training for management position with a company called Scentura
Creations. While it all seemed too good to be true I forced my self
not to be skeptical. I was told that after training for six weeks that
I would be paid 30,000 a year to manage a store. Being a college
student I figured "hey why not".
On the first day we were told to go and sell perfumes to friends and
family and we only had to it once. Mr. Tejeda, the president of AIS
promised that whoever sold the most would get a $1,000. I went home
forced my friends and family to buy from me.
When I returned the second day I sold the most out of everybody but
yet I did not get the $1,000 because Steve claimed as a whole we did
not sell enough perfumes. I sold a total of 15 perfumes at $27 each
and I was informed that I would get $112 and $75 bonus. At the time
Dana informed me that I could not get the $112 until the checks
cleared. I went back the second and the third day where they taught us
how to force people to buy perfumes.
On the third day when we had actually had to go out and do it I
decided not to continue the training. Dana told me that same day a
check will be mailed to my house in the amount of $112 because the
bonus was simply due to those who completed the training. It's been a
week and I still don't have my money. I have called and called and I
have been put on hold for 30 minutes or more. I want my money because
I earned so today I left them a message informing them that I will be
coming to their offices tomorrow to collect what is mine. I will get
that money if it's the last thing I do.

*** Making $576 bi-weekly upon opening your own office. ***
From: http://www.ripoffreport.com/view.asp?id=60893
Since I read the ad on hot jobs about the receptionist / customer
service opening i was happy. When I got to the interview that required
me to go there the same day. The woman that interviewed me was named
Karen and her partner don.
Karen told me about this management position. I had a gut feeling that
this was too good to be true. I went back to the third interview and
Karen explained all this gloss about owning your own business after
training and making $576 bi-weekly upon opening your own office.
I still did not feel good about this. I had a bad feeling so I decide
to look up company azure enterprise. This led me to an ad in the
e-classifieds. I was still not sure about it. So I ask myself what
successful company as they claim they are do not have a website in
this day and age.
To make a long story short, I attended the orientation which lasted
from 11-3:00pm today June 16,2003. They hyped us up and told us about
winning some made up contest. To win the money we had to do this thing
in which we sell perfume to pour family friends associates and
relatives at a so-called discount price.
I did not do it friends told me to look the company up. Since they
never mentioned the name of the parent company too much I read it off
and ad in the cold classroom. Scentura creations president is Larry
Hahn.
I found many complaints on this company.
I am writing this ad to warn people in New York especially young
people that this company is spreading into our area and recruiting
fast. Please let us get together and stop this.

*** Danger in the "Wanted Ad's"***
From: http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/ripoff27017.htm
Danger in the "Wanted Ad's"
Before you start job-hunting, read this;
They come in all different areas and categories. They all have
different store names. Different stories. But the outcome is always
the same. They are scams, and if you do not educate yourself, you too
can fall victim.
There are many out there, buts let's take one example. They are called
Scentura Creations. You can compare them to Emodels or Primerica. But
their treatment of employees is worse. The following is a true life
story of one girls disillusioning encounter:
"I was 17 years old, and it was just another day scouring the
classifieds. I had been at it for a week with no luck so far. That's
when I spotted it:
Attention: We need 15 people now!
No experience needed. We will train you for a
Management position. Up to 750.00 a week
during training.
Wow! Perfect. I picked up the phone and called.
"California Designs" answered the receptionist.
I told her why I was calling, and she scheduled me for an interview
the next day. I showed up, and there was a room full of people there
also. The Office Manager, Mark, came in and introduced himself. He
talked about how he was looking for bright, motivated, go-getters who
would be trained to open their own perfume store. After the
presentation, he let us go and kept me and 2 other girls behind. "I
kept you here, because you are the cream of the crop" he said.
We were hired then and there (along with everyone else we found out)
and told that our first assignment would be to see if we could sell
any bottles to our friends and family that night. I should back up and
describe the office. It was a bare makeshift office with no real
"Lived in look" Maybe one or 2 pictures, sporadic furniture, you get
the picture.
The next day training started. As it was explained, we were to go out
for the day (in our own cars, with our own gas money) and try to sell
perfume. Anywhere we could. If there was a "No Soliciting" sign, we
were to ignore it and go in anyways. For every bottle we sold, me made
approx. 4-7$ from it. Here is the catch; even when we sold a bottle,
we never got to see the money, it was put in a special "account" for
us.
They also taught us little songs that were supposed to pump us up.
"Motivated, motivated, absolutely motivated, if you're not motivated,
get the f**k out!" they would chant. For those who actually sold some
perfume, they were taken out on a "satellite" which they made seem
like a big deal.
What's a satellite? Basically it is you, your manager, and a group of
others. They take you to a far city, cram all of you into one motel
room, and make you sell perfume in that city all night.
I could go on—but who needs to? You get the point. I left after a
week, I never saw a dime of my money. I left because my parents made
me. When I told my boss I quit, he told me my parents were being
inconsiderate and ruining my future"
As you can see, this company needs to be stopped. Yet, they thrive.
Finding fresh, naïve victims every week.
What can you do??
2 things. First of all, educate yourself. Become familiar with what
the ads read like. They all have the same basic format. They are
looking for multiple people, they promise quite a bit of money for no
experience. Basically the ad reads like a dream job. If you are
curious about an ad, call the number, Ask straight up if they are
Scentura Creations. (they go under tons of different names) If they
are not, ask whom the are exactly, and research it.
Secondly, let me know you are willing to fight. I am in the process of
gathering what I can to take to the FTC. We need to unite to stop this
madness.
By the way, the corporate office is in Atlanta, but they are
international, and all over the USA.

Universal Management

I answered an ad in the paper on Monday May 5th, the ad said "Fun work
environment, MUST LOVE MUSIC" so I called them up. I spoke to Mel, who
incidentally was an air head, who asked me if I was looking for a full
time job, where I was from, etc etc.
I was told that there were many people calling and that I should come
in ASAP for an interview, so I scheduled one for 3pm that very same
day. I went in and filled out this half sheet long 'get to know you'
form, before being called in by Rob, who was the 'owner' of this
branch of Scentura Creations, called Universal Management.
Well I had a 5 minute meeting with Rob when he told me that he would
be calling me back by 5:30 that day to tell me whether or not I had a
'second interview', well low and behold I got a call back from Noelle,
the other 'owner' of UNIVERSAL MANAGEMENT, telling me that I had s
second interview that Friday, the 9th, and to bring a notebook and
plan on being there for an hour and a half.
So I go there on Friday and we're all told we're hired and that we are
"BRANCH MANAGERS" for the company and that we were to have a month, 4
weeks, of training then we would be put in charge of our own location
and salesmen.
Rob went into a huge long lecture about the company and the perfume
that they sold and how we wouldn't be out selling, that we would hire
salesmen to sell for us and how we would be bringing in $500-700
dollars a week and making close to 45g's a year. He ended the meeting
with "I'll see you on Monday to fill out paperwork"
I pulled him aside and told him I had to give some notice at my other
job and couldn't start until the following Thursday, and he said that
I could start the next Tuesday, may 20th, since he didn't want me to
miss anything in the training.
No biggie in my head. So I show up early on Tuesday may 20th and once
everyone showed up I'm meeting all people who work in the
'company'...I'm the only new person. Well Rob starts up the meeting,
and along with a lot of yelling a swearing and chanting, I'm meeting
the other people. I'm told that I will be out 'footing it' with
another trainee and 2 branch managers.
The others come up to me and ask where my car is, since none of them
drove, I had to drive!
This was where I really started getting suspicious. So we head out to
Union Boulevard in Allentown, pa...we begin to go business to business
to 'sell' this perfume.
I'm not talking like business building type things, this is CVS to
Taco Bell to bowling alleys to anywhere.
When the women at a Catholic Charities place threatened to call the
police, I decided that was enough for me.
I asked the girl I was "training" with if this was how things worked,
if we were the ones who had to go out and sell the perfume, she
replied with: "Ya know why don't you write that question down and ask
Rob when we get back this afternoon, cuz I can't answer that"...
I told her that was it and I was taking them back to the office and I
was out, she ran over to Mel, another branch manager and talked to
her...
While they were talking I spoke to this guy who had been training for
3 weeks, when I asked him how many days of the 3 weeks he had been out
soliciting this perfume, he told me every day!!
Well Mel and the other girl came back and got Rob on the phone and
told him what I was saying/planning on doing, he asked to talk to me.
Once he had me on the phone he told me that I wasn't giving this a
chance that this wasn't how things were run and all kinds of other
things he must have thought would convince me to stay.
I told him that there was no way I was going to continue with this and
that he totally misled me in the way he presented the company to me
and that I wasn't interested in this scam they had going.
I ended up leaving those other people in the middle of Allentown and
leaving.
THIS IS A SCAM PEOPLE SO NOT GET S*CKERED IN...IF ANYONE ELSE HAS BEEN
SCAMMED BY UNIVERSAL MANAGEMENT AND ROB AND NOELLE PLEASE GET IN TOUCH
WITH ME, LETS BRING THEM DOWN TOGETHER!

Many young people in search of employment in the help wanted ads have
been drawn by the attractive offers of management with excellent pay.
All they need to do is call a non-existent female, and request an
interview.
They make you feel wanted, almost elite. And then, the scam begins.
Selling fake designer perfumes to friends and family, going door to
door, to parking lot to parking lot.
All in the hopes of becoming an owner of your own scheme. Teaching
unto others as you were taught to lie and deceive. Making tons of
money.
I think not. Do your research folks. It's a scam. I know from

After going through the interview process they admitted that there is

When I applied to this company, I was told that there would be about 6
weeks of training and that if I sold a lot of FAKE PERFUME then I
could move up very quickly. I asked several times about the pay and
when I would get paid and they said in the meeting that they have in
the office in Miami they will pay me cash $300 a week For 3 weeks =
$900.00 in cash.
That day when I went to go to the big meeting Africa (the "owner)
didn't even show up to the office she had one of her assistants tell
me that I would not be getting paid, of course at that point I walked
out.
Oh and one more thing they made me go around to check cashing stores
and cash checks for them and now the check cashing store has filed a
complaint and wants the money back from me even though I told them the
situation they said that I cashed the check therefore I am responsible
for it.
Don't get me wrong I understand their point of view, but when I have
been screwed out of so much money from that company any way I just
don't see paying any more than I already have.
I gave them Africa's phone # and all, I just cant justify this. I
deserve to be paid for my time and what I was promised, and the check
needs to be paid too however I am not sure what to do. I don't have

I've been with these people since last Wednesday. I don't know.
On the one hand it seems like they're (the owners) making money, but
at the same time they are not honest with everyone.
What we've noticed is that every time anyone asks a direct question,
there is not a direct answer. Besides that, they have people working
their a*ses off and being happy making nothing.
These people are all societies cast-offs and are happy living day to

I feel sorry for them.

[World Perfume and Scentura are different companies, despite what this
gentleman says --Ed]
(names not added)
Here's the deal.
I did a little research. There is a Scentura office in Kansas City and
a World perfume one here too.
Through a very good database, we discovered that Scentura is
registered as specializing in house ware, or house products.
Which is funny because, isn't that the company that is supposed to be
World Perfumes "competitor".
Not only that, but we also found out that in Kansas City the notorious
"Neal Johnston and Jackie Aguilera", who claim they own their house in
Blue Springs, or actually renting it. Now the house is for sale.
Also poor Bridy Smith, who has been promoted to her own office for
almost a year now and she's a very nice person, has been evicted from
every house and apartment that she's lived since she's had her own
office.
The office that Bridy and Roger ran in St. Louis closed down, but I
think Roger re-opened it with Eric Hansen. Also the office that she
ran with Jason in Raytown closed down.
So whenever these crooks said that only 1 or 2 offices have closed
down within the last few years they were lying. There was an office in
Utah, Ken and Geno Artiz's office, which also closed down. It was also
re-opened with 2 new people.
Also, according to someone who works for the chamber of commerce in
Independence, MO, Scentura and World Perfume is the same company.
Besides, Neal Johnston still shows off his Scentura trophy, it's on
his desk. Also the bottles for Scentura and World Perfume are the
same. I asked Eric Hansen why and he said because they have the same
distributor.
And who is the Distributor for World Perfume? Johnny Whitworth's
office in Dallas, Tx. I was a VP (Secretary) in Kansas City.
One day I saw a piece of paper that had the name Larry Hahn on it. The
paper was describing how Larry started a perfume company. I got up to
go to the restroom, when I got up Jackie Aguilera had picked the paper
up. When I came back, the Larry Hahn's name was whited out and Johnny
Whitworth's was put in. So strange. This was during the 2nd interview,
you know when they give you an overview of the company.
So does that answer your question?
And by the way, there is a man named Geno Artiz, remember I said his
office closed down in Utah. He is supposed to have a brand new Tahoe.
Well, he brought some of his people from Utah here, to KC. And what
did they drive, A BUSTED, BROKE DOWN, RUSTED, MINI-VAN. Not only that
but he had moved back here to KC, and did anyone ever see the Tahoe?
HELL NO! Not even at the office, he drove that busted, broken down,
rusted, and did I say beat up van.
So I hope that answers your question.
And by the way they are not making as much money as they say they are.
I heard Eric Hansen complaining that he had only made $120 one week.
