Where can I find more resources for Painter 6? Downloads, cd-roms, free
stuff, paid stuff, etc?

I惴 a newbie to it, and I悲 like to know where to find these.

Thanks.

I扉e read recent discussions here about exchanging techniques, source files,
scripts, etc.
Well, here is my token: look at Macromedia Flash. It愀 popularity was
possible because of
the "open" sources, tutorials, free Actionscripts and more, given away by
developers.

Files should be traded too, but only by e-mail and request.

Ricardo,

Here are a few of the best resources I know of. Others in the group may
be able to supply you with more:

You can subscribe to Karen Sperling's Artistry Magazine, and she's
recently been taking suggestions/topic requests for her plans to teach
Painter.

There's also an Artistry Magazine CD of past issues, full of great
articles, including examples and tutorials, and much of what's in it can
be easily translated for Painter 6. Among other things it includes on
the CD are libraries for: Brush Look, Buddha Brush, Nozzles, Paper, and
Patterns

Check it out at: http://www.artistry.com

The Painter 6 WOW! Book is now available, by Cher Threinen-Pendarvis.
This book is a favorite among Painter users and is full of great
examples of artist's work and tips on how they were done. The CD
contains lots of goodies including extra Painter libraries: Brushes,
Lighting, Patterns, Scripts, and Textures.

Jeremy Sutton, per his website home page, is working on a new Painter 6
book designed to teach expressive portrait painting. His website is at:

www.portrayals.com

His Painter 5 Tip page, which contains information on Painter 6 as well,
is at:

www.portrayals.com/tip.html

There are free Painter nozzles available at:

http://www.rapartz.com/

In addition, you can find instructions to sign up for the Painter list
and the PainterWorld list at:

http://www.pixelalley.com/tutorials/tuthome.html

This would put you in contact with lots of folks who can give you more
information on what you're looking for.

Ricardo,

It's probably better, due to virus problems, not to share files by
e-mail, but instead to upload them to a site where they can be
downloaded using FTP software. Safer, I believe, for all concerned.
