Positions are available at all levels for systems engineers who are
knowledgeable in computing platform architectures, electronics and
military packaging. These engineers will be responsible for designing
the system architecture containing hardware and software elements in a
VME form factor chassis, defining requirements for hardware and embedded
software, preparing test cases, conducting hardware and software
integration, performing system testing and documenting the results.
Engineers in senior-level positions will coordinate the activities of
hardware designers and must have strong team building and communication
skills.
Experience: Knowledge of computer architectures, aircraft electronics
for analog and digital processing, video and graphics processing, high
speed digital communication, interface definition and backplane design
are beneficial.
Unique characteristics include fiber channel interfaces, multiple
PowerPC based processors, fault tolerant/redundant design methodology
and a partitioned application software environment.
