All XR series cars from EB to present come without a speed limiter
apparently they can get away with it because they have a different tailshaft
that doesn't vibrate at high speeds. like the other models supposedly do.
I've been told they can max speed at 230 for EF-EL's and about 225 for
EB-ED's due to a higher drag co.
I've also been informed that AU XR8's can get up as high as 240-250 I'd sure
like to see that.
From personal experience though I got my limiter disabled when I got my ECU
tweaked and she's fine at 200 very smooth gets a little nervous at 220 but I
think that's the tyres, shitty Eagle GAs. But I'm not sure weather ghia's
have the upgraded tail shaft or not everything else in the drive line is
Tickford but I don't know about the tail shaft.

trust me you'll know if your car has a limiter or not as the engine rather
abruptly cuts out till the speed drops a bit. How's this though the cruise
con still works at those speeds.

I have a 99 AU XR6 manual and have had it up to 240 when the rev limiter cut
in on 5th gear. I was happily surprised at the stability of the car at that
speed. It sat down real nice and didn't float like my old EF XR6 did. ad the
EF up to about 225 if I recall correctly.
