I'm very happy with my investment in Coca-Cola stock (i.e. in The Coca-Cola
Company, although the various bottler stocks are good too).

I get dividend checks regularly ;-).

It's a good solid investment in a company that has been around since the late
1880s. I recommend it.

The Coca Cola Bottling Co stock name is COKE - it is up 3/8 at 32 1/8
The Coca Cola Company, KO - is unchanged at 41 5/8
Coca Cola Enterprises - CCE is down 1/4 at 17 3/8
Coca Cola Femsa S A DE CV ADS (?), KOF up 3/8 at 31 5/8

Thats all I know, I hope it helps (makes sense...)
KO appears to be very stable, having a high around 45 and a low around 39 over
the past year...

Over the past 6 years or so KO has split twice. I received 3 shares as a
gift, and purchased 3 shares directly. These then split so I had 12
shares total and they then split again. I now own 25 shares of KO stock.
Not a lot but it keeps you interested. The dividend isn't great I think
it is about .30/share. I don't own it for the earnings potential as much
as having it to get the reports, and news of Th Coca-Cola Company. There
is also a club known as the Coca-Cola Collectors Club that help any avid
Cocaholic up to date on the history and collections of the World's #1
soft drink.

I hope this may have helped......

In response to a couple of folks who asked about the purchasing of only
a few shares of stock: Try and find a discount broker. Most large
brokers only want large accounts where the commission is something that
is substantial. IN this area of NYS we have a few companies that will
sell your stock for you for roughly a $5/share transaction fee. It is
actually like $20 for 1-5 shares and changes as the number of shares
transacted goes up. The first purchase of the 3 shares of KO stock I
mentioned had a transaction fee of about $30. At the time the stock sold
for about $32-$35/ share so the actual pers share cost was $10/share
more. This is still possible to do now for about the same transaction
fee. But remember try and find a discount broker. They normally won't
give you a lot of investment planning but if you know what stock you want
and the exchange etc... they have been quite accomidating, from my
experience. Once you own the stock of KO, you can purchase more shares
directly from The Coca Cola Co. with no transaction fee.

This may be a stupid question, but could someone explain to me the
difference between the different areas?

I'll have a go. Someone correct me if I'm off here (what am
I saying? This is Usenet- *of course* someone will correct me!):

# The Coca Cola Bottling Co stock name is COKE - it is up 3/8 at 32 1/8

Owns regional companies that put the product into cans and bottles, and
distributes the product to stores and vending machines.

# The Coca Cola Company, KO - is unchanged at 41 5/8

The parent company that owns all the patents, owns
the name "Coca-Cola" and its trademarks, and sells syrup
to bottlers and fountains (restaurants) nationally.
I believe Coca-Cola Foods is part of this company, and
they're the ones responsible for Minute Maid OJ and the
forthcoming "Fruitopia" drinks.

# Coca Cola Enterprises - CCE is down 1/4 at 17 3/8

Responsible for the licensing of the name "Coca-Cola" to clothing,
knick-knacks (tchotchke, if you will), and other non-food items
bearing the Coca-Cola name.

# Coca Cola Femsa S A DE CV ADS (?), KOF up 3/8 at 31 5/8

Looks like a Mexican or South American affiliate. Maybe it's the
company responsible for producing the coca extract?

Yes, 'KO' is The Coca-Cola Company. Coca-Cola Foods (Minute Maid) is
one of their subsidiaries. 'KO' also has minority ownership of CCE,
below.

: # Coca Cola Enterprises - CCE is down 1/4 at 17 3/8

Bad guess. This is all done by The Coca-Cola Company. Actually, your
description for 'COKE' above is a very accurate description of what
CCE does. They're about the largest bottling company in the country,
and their headquarters is on the campus of the Company in Atlanta. I
don't know who the ticker symbol 'COKE' belongs to.

Hope this helps fill in some of the holes.
