Really? when was this? This don't ship fresh, they ship frozen and
hermetically sealed.... Sounds like a libelous statement to me, be
careful what you say. I'm really curious when you got these "gifts" as
I've had nothing but good experiences with them.

Ah... I see... 13,873 posts on Usenet since 7/4/2007. Interesting
history... You're a troll, so obviously lying to get my goat. I'd watch
what you say, though, as if you live in the US, the company can sue you
for making libelous statements about them. Perhaps they should be
informed? I doubt you've masked your IP for the past 9 years....

Actually no. Steve has been a relevent poster for many years. If he says
he had bad experiences, I believe him.

He can say what he wants about his experiences. Do you have some vested interest
in this company? You seem to throw around the "libelous" alot. What are you
intention here on this matter?

Most people are going to forums off USENET or just googling their answers
and calling it a day.. What a shame. We have definitely seen a complete
drop of posters here.

They do not have this group.. I'll take a look.

No vested interest. It just seems odd that he talks about is experiences
when the company is brand new. I always used to order from catalina but
I don't particularly like their delivery, but I just ordered from
sushinut and everything arrived frozen and perfectly fine. The guy at
sushinut said they just started shipping, so i'm just wondering why he's
trying to get me to not buy from them with statements that seem like
they are lies. I find it as interesting as why he hasn't defended his
comments.

I don't care where you buy your fish, but why badmouth a company with a
statement that isn't true? I obviously didn't ask about this guy's
experience, but they've only been shipping for 2 weeks or so it turns
out (I asked how long they've been in business), so I that kind of
answers my question anyway...

I threw that word around because I don't like being lied to, and I felt
that I was. I don't work for them, I just want to find a good source of
sushi grade fish, so I thought this was a good place to ask opinions,
but now I'm feeling like it's full of trolls.

Yes, Viktor Kashen <jsm...@gmail.com>, Dan and SW are both trolls! Me too,
for that matter. But then, you already know that. ;-)

Hmmm, Warren has been a regular back when alt.food.sushi was active
and offered to host the sushi FAQ way back when.. I have a hard time
believing he's spamming in such a way.

I haven't seen him spamming a.f.s., but could be because that group is
mostly dead. Nothing like it used to be, that's for sure. I don't pay
as close attention here though..

Hey Nick, Dan, & Sqwertz. It's Warren (and it's been a while since
I've had time to get on Usenet, so it's good to see you) and you guys
are all right, in a sense. I need to clear the air since I'm in
complete agreement that this is sleazy/spammy crap.

I run sushifaq and I know the guys who run sushinut. I hire a kid to
do linking and other minor SEO stuff for me, but I wasn't aware (until
today) that he's been doing this kind of crap. He got scared (for
obvious reasons) and told me about this thread, I normally don't
participate in this group, so he told me what's going on. And
apparently he's been doing it for a while.

I guarantee that this won't happen again, spammy crap like this drives
me nuts as well, so I understand, and I don't want sushifaq associated
with it, it will only hurt me in the end. The sushinut stuff is just
helping out a friend. I used to do a tiny bit of affiliate sales, but
I've stopped and since I know the guy who started sushinut, I point to
his website to help him out, it's not affiliate stuff, I guarantee you
that, so it's not for personal gain. I've spoken to "Viktor" (which is
obviously not his real name) and he won't be posting BS like this
anymore or he's not getting his retainer and will be gone. I guess I
need to monitor a bit better, so i'm sorry for the kerfuffle.

In a nutshell, I'm sorry this happened, it won't happen again (well,
at least not for anything that *I'm* involved in, though I'm sure all
those other folks will keep spamming Usenet) and you guys were right
to question this post, I tend to fight back against this stuff too,
for fun if not for principle, so Sqwertz, I don't begrudge you at all
for calling him out on this crap, I'm actually glad you did so I can
now ensure that bastard won't be hurting my sites with spammy behavior
anymore.

Cheers.

Cool. I didn't know of your history with the sushi group until Dan
mentioned it. So then I should have suspected that somebody familiar
with Usenet would know that appeared to be total shill. And you
wouldn't have come back for another beating as "Vicktor" did :-)
Total newbie stuff. It fit the usual MO of a Usenet spammer, and I've
been on Usenet too long making friends as well as enemies, so this
just came naturally to me. I'm a victim, of too much Usenet! Yeah!
That's it! I'm the victim here! <cough> ;-)

Sorry to drag your name through the dump. I'll make sure to
X-Un-Archive this post so it appears in the archives of anybody
reading this in the future.

Yeah, I've been on Usenet for about 20+ years (and in IT for the same-
ish) and would not be stupid enough to do something so blatantly
obvious. I'm a sneaky bastard, but not a stupid sneaky bastard. Sorry
again, the persons responsible have been flogged ;)

I would have had the same reaction as you, though I usually try to
throw in a masked link to goatse or lemonparty, but I'm sure you know
where I'm going with that. Nice to see you guys all again, and to meet
you, Sqwertz. When I have to time (freaking job) I'll be back to post
some actual quality content. "Till then, take care guys.
