Ik can't help you. But one thing: the music is Turkish, by Tarkan.

Hoi, bedankt voor het reageren.

Maar naar Nico en Gert-jan heb ik al gemaild, alleen nog geen antwoord
teruggehad. En Nico werkt met video's en niet met dansbeschrijvingen. En
Gert-Jan is druk, druk...

Maarre, als je die allemaal kent... dan ben ik ook benieuwd naar jou....

enne is die Marius Korpel niet van Syncoop?

Yes, I heard Tarkan last week singing it, but his song is called Sikidim
(copyrights???) and I think the dance was there before Tarkan was known.
The version Tarkan sings is also a bit different from the Kol ma
Shekadam music, a bit slower I think.

Dear Janny,
Of course the music is Turkish BUT, the dance was not before the music of
Tarkan. If you go in the right places to learn a dance then you will hear
the story. If you learn a dance out of the fifth hand and you don't know
anything about the background of dances you get this kind of
misunderstandings.
I don't know the story exactely (but I don't know the dance, I know that it
is danced at de Instuiven/Soosen) but the dance is made (IT IS NOT
TRADITIONAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) by somebody from Israel because he
liked the music and he thought it was Israelian-like.
Please inform yourself better!!!!!!!
By the way you should try to contact Angela Reutlinger or Marion
Nieuwenhuisen for the description of the dance. Good luck!
Waldemar

Sorry, but I did'n know this, I learned this dance last year and I did'n
know that it was not original. Maybe I could have known because a lot of
today's dances from Israel are not traditional but made by someone who
likes that music and makes a dance for it, but I didn't hear about the
source of Kol ma Shekadam. So when I heard Tarkan singing it a few weeks
ago, remembering I learned the dance already last year, ehr yes.....
But Waldemar, everybody can misunderstand something, so you don't have
to accuse me from these misunderstandings and I had the idea thad you
did so. Maybe you don't mean it this way but it looks that way to me.

Janny,

I did't accuse you, but yes, I am a little bothered by this kind of things
and that was what I wanted to tell you. By the way I gave you some advise to
look for the description did'nt I?
