New college-town beverage-consumption statistic

In every college town [1] there seems to be a UL to the effect that
"the beer consumption per capita in Our Town is the highest in the
country/world." In Chapel Hill, N.C., where I grew up, there was an
added twist: "...even higher than Munich's."

Now people are measuring coffee consumption instead. A story in the
local Chapel Hill newspaper claims that the number of coffee shops
per capita in Chapel Hill comes close to "rivaling the per capita in
Seattle, renowned for its plentitude of coffeehouses."

[1] Well, maybe not Wheaton, Illinois. Or Qom.
