Restaurant POS software to help restaurants operate smoothly. POSqx offers POS software as a service and for using it we only need a Touch screen POS and an Internet connection.www.posqx.com

POS stands not only for Piece Of Shit, but also for Point Of Sale.
Coincidentally, since All Software Sucks, POS systems are also Pieces of Shit,
although I don't think generally any more so than most allegedly release-
quality software.

A bit bitter are we?

Sadly I tend to agree with you, not sure if being caused by having
non-technical marketing departments create insane ideas and then
outsourcing everything to code serfs who have no real stake in the final
product or not.

Yes I know that, hence the play on acronyms. POA which would be a BOA as
well.

In article <1aGdnart0eiiYmjN...@giganews.com>,
In fact they have a negative stake. It's not in their interest to produce
reliable, bug-free code; they want a large pool of continuation work. While
their outfit might not get the contract for supporting this particular POS,
they'll get plenty of work fixing other people's screwups.

It's more of a comment on what passes these days for release-quality software,
I'm afraid.

Dave, would quality test for food if I could do it from home

Oh, I see your point, but my point still stands. The one I'm used to
has one a function that tells you "We recommend you not do this even
if we told you to."
