How about some folklore in this group now?

We'll miss ya.

From Steve:

"in lieu of flowers, consider donating in memory of Peter Dubuque at
www.pointfoundation.org - a scholarship granting program for LGBT
students."

Omigod, NO.

Peter was one half of the most adorable couple ever to appear on these
pages. Poor Steve, I can't even imagine one of them without the
other.

I will raise a glass to his everlasting peace. Moosehead beer, maybe.

When Brian K. Yoder called Peter an "enemy of reason" for refusing to
follow his pretzel logic, Peter proudly appropriated the label to
confound him.

A fellow detester of fresh tomatoes in a world that put them on
everything, Peter was more open to new people and new idea than he was
to new foods.

A bit too introverted and self-disciplined to generate a lot of folklore
that starts with, "One time he got so drunk, I saw him <unlikely verb>
the <even less likely noun>," Peter was the more rare combination of
both a good heart and a good mind. A lot of mensch with a little
mischief, he's still on auto-select in my newsreader even though I
haven't seen him on Usenet in years.

I think I'll keep him there on general principles.
