hi all,

i would really like to find out if anyone knows of a good way to get rid of
dark circles under eyes.... i've had circles under my eyes for a good 8-10
years and i would really like to get rid of em!
i have been told that dark circles under the eyes are due to nutrient
deficiency.... if this is true, "i need some nutrients"...
where would i buy them, can i buy them through the mail? does/has anyone
ever had this problem before and gotten rid of circles under the eyes
succesfully? and last question, how long does it take to get rid of em...

please, if someone can help, i would love to hear from you!

thanks all,

Supposedly caused by either spleen or liver problems. For
liver problems, see my post called Diet and Supplement Tips and
perform a Stones, Crystals, and Deposits regimen. Or, a good
supplement regimen for this condition would be Planetary
Formula's Stone Free taken for three weeks, with the first week
or two adding silymarin and yellowdock combination. Now brand
Silymarin is composed mostly of turmeric, so would be a good
choice, plus is the most powerful silymarin product I have seen
for the money.

When taking any supplement with turmeric in it, like Stone Free
or Now silymarin, take a 1/2 teaspoon or more of fennel seeds.
This adds to the effect, plus prevents stomach upset caused by
taking turmeric. For yellowdock, Solaray makes a product
called Yellowdock Dandelion combination that would be a good
choice.

These supplements will help with stones and crystals, as well
as parasites, in the liver that might cause the problem.

If this fails, treat the spleen. There are some supplements
that are thought to clean it somewhat, like red clover.
Something like Nature's Herbs Red Clover combination might help
it and the lymphatic system in general. A glandular supplement
that contains spleen may help with insufficiency as well.
However, in most cases of spleen problems, dental metals are
the culprit and removal of mercury from the mouth may be the
only cure. However, taking enough selenium, like in a good
multivitamin that contains 200mcg, can help with this problem
if the mercury cannot or will not be removed. Taking a
multimineral that contains 100% RDA of magnesium may help,
too.

Please report your results.

Ayurveda suggests dark circles are reflection of kidney weakness. Good
herbs include shilajit, punarnava, gokshura. Also since kidney weakness
can be due to stress and emotions brain tonics like gotu kola are
helpful. For more info check the below url

Sounds like kidney weakness. You could try Sweet Potatoes or Sword
Beans. Try just eating the sweet potatoes (the simplest) or cook 50g
Sword beans with pork kidney. Eat at meals once every day. It's also
supposed to be good for pregnant woman. Makes sense if you need an
extra boost for another lifeform.

BTW, these are ancient chinese food cures.

get a book called the Vitamin Bible. It's around six bucks, lists
every vitamin and mineral, what they do,signs of deficiency and what
vitamins and minerals you should be taking for your type of lifestyle.

There are some tips which can help you:

• Make a paste from turmeric and pineapple juice. You can also make a paste from turmeric, tomato juice, lentils, and lemon juice.

•Use a paste made from rosewater , red sandalwood, and sandalwood for their dark circles.

• Cover eye area with chamomile tea bags which have been steeped in cool water for several minutes. Keep the tea bags over eyes for 10 to 15 minutes.

• Mix finely chopped sage and parsley with two tbsp. of sour cream and apply concoction under eye area. Let stand for 20 to 30 minutes.

• Extract the juice from fresh mint and gently dab the juice to eye area and allow to dry.

• Stir together a tablespoon each of milk and nutmeg and apply to eye area before going to bed at night. Do not wash off the milk and nutmeg.
