I don't post here very often, though I lurk frequently and keep my ears open
for tales that might interest those who peruse this NG.
I heard something interesting last night and was hoping that someone here
might be able to confirm it or tell me to stop smoking the wacky
weed...*smile*.
Apparently there is a spot in the North Georgia mountains where campers have
experienced strange sightings of a werewolf-like creature. The sight is also
popular with people who take their trucks "mud bogging" and several trucks
have come back from the trip sporting a new set of scratch marks...the only
thing the driver will say is that he (or she) didn't think a dog could run
that fast and that they're never going back. A friend of mine told me a
story (one of those "friend of a friend" things) and I'd like to research it
a little before I post it..so as not to regale you with urban legends.
I've read a few posts here describing encounters with large dogs, and the
similarities struck me. Are there any Georgia natives that have heard of
this spot?

It seems to me that a DejaNews search will turn up what you are looking for. I
remember something last year about werewolf like creatures, along with mothmen
and the Jersey devil, being discussed for days...

Ok, well I guess I can go ahead and tell a little bit since some folks are
"afraid" to contact me, but this is a LONG story and I can only give a brief
run down. I live in North West Georgia and there is a place that is nearby
where a creature of some sort has been seen, for almost 20 years, its roughly
humanoid in shape, but moves very quickly. I will post the whole story at a
later date.

Looking forward to hearing the rest of this story!
