Greetings young windmaster1.
.
I sure would like to help. What exactly does this evil dude do? Under what
circumstances do you and your mother encounter this guy? What town do you
reside? How does he relay that he is "the fallen angel of the night?" Are
there any labels on his trench coat? Have you tried driving a stake threw
his heart? Who are the people in Illinois, Idaho, Florida, Texas and
California that seen Igtanis? Does he speak with a lisp? What is the name
of your uncles' janitor? Does Igtanis go to church often? Why is he
bothering you and your mother? Do you owe him money? Does he owe you
money? What specifically should I look for to know if I've encountered this
5'-10" evil black trench coat wearer?
.
The pudding is in the details, Mr. windmaster1. Help us help you.

Now go feck yourself.
windmaster1: I Googled "black trenchcoat"+paranormal and found some
links, I'll refrain from posting them here, as surely you're able to do
such a search yourself ... I myself have not had occassion to
experience any sort of black-trenchcoated beings, outside of the

Some of my stories have been pretty out there ... no doubt they

believed me or not. *wink* And I don't think I ever posted hoping to

Now wait. WTF? A *rumor* ?! That story still gives me the

When I was growing up, I noticed a shadow in my upstairs window. It was
of a relatively thin man almost 6 feet tall. He did wear a trench coat
and an old fedora hat, and tall boots. He played with me and helped with
my homework. He had a pleasant tenor voice, but he never directly gave me
his name.
As I got to know the shadow better, I could see his coloration (blonde
hair, steel blue eyes, fair skin) and he would move to different walls.
He was around in the afternoons as well as at night.
After being my friend for a couple years, he told me he could get rid of
my family's money problems. He said I'd never have to wear used clothes
or play with used toys again for as long as I lived - all I had to do was
promise to spend eternity with him. He said he offered my dad the same
thing years ago, back when my dad still lived on his parents' farm (I had
never heard _that_ story before).
I asked who he was to be able to make such a promise and the spirit just
laughed. I said I only knew of one being capable of delivering, but I was
unwilling to deal with _him_. The spirit told me if I wouldn't accept, he
would haunt my children and grandchildren until one would take advantage
of his offer.
I still told him no, and he started yelling at me in the most foul
language my young ears had heard. I ran out my room and flew down the
stairs.
In the kitchen, my dad was telling a story unfamiliar to me. When he was
8, he had wrestled with the Prince of Darkness after refusing all the
riches in the world! That's all I caught of the story as I rand out the
house and down the street to my friend's place.
I spent hours with Kenny. I was too scared to mention it to him and much
too scared to see what was waiting for me at home. Finally I joined my
family for dinner and then grudgingly went up the stairs (I still hadn't
told anyone for fear it was somehow my fault for letting the spirit stay).
As I opened the door, I found my bedroom deserted. A few days later, the
spirit returned and started harassing me (the worst was when he stabbed me
in the back with a blade - a scar I still have).
Shortly thereafter, my dad got a job offer which took us far from that
house. I didn't see the spirit for 10 years after the move, but his
return is a different story.
Based on my religious upbringing (I am a Christian), there is only one
possible identity for that spirit, and though I confronted him with that
name, he never once denied it.

My post describing the spirit I knew goes into as much detail as I dare to
this late at night. Light skin, blonde hair, steel blue eyes. Wears a
black trench coat, tall boots, and a black fedora hat. Almost 6 feet tall.
I personally know of 9 people who can vouch for my description (two other
stories).
As for BEKs ... sorry didn't mean to beat a dead horse!!! (I've always
hated that saying.) Honest, it was not my intent to irritate any ...
'specially you Patrick. I never really got into alt.paranormal ... as
I found what I craved here.
Cheers ~ I'll let the subject drop ... again apologies for being an
ingrate.
katie: that June 3rd excursion sounds fab ... I'm gonna see if I can
get that weekend off, it'd be an eleven-hour drive for me. (I should
fly, hell with the price of gas it'd probably be cheaper!)
Carry on.

I also mentioned how I was raised Christian. This seemingly insignificant
fact is what brought about my second set of experiences with the spirit.
You see, I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LdS,
also called Mormon). All young men are commanded to leave everything and
serve a full-time two-year mission. I was 19 when I started my mission.
I spent 2 months in the Missionary Training Center in Provo, Utah in order
to learn a little Portuguese (I was "called" to Brazil) and receive
instructions on how to effectively teach. It was within the confines of
the MTC that I next saw this spirit.
Missionaries within the MTC are divided into "districts." Each district
has the same schedule - eat together, go to classes together, and sleep in
the same dorm room. The MTC has very strict rules about what time to wake
up, how many hours of personal study you have each day, and when the
lights must be turned off.
One week my district was in extremely low spirits. We had an instructor
go postal (threw a chair and yelled that we'd never be ready). One elder
learned his mom was diagnosed with cancer. The parents of another elder
out-of-the-blue decided to get divorced. You get the idea - everything
was going poorly. At the end of the week as we turned off the lights (as
per the rules), it was too light to sleep, so we decided to talk of our
native lands. The talk eventually turned to ghost stories.
As I was talking about the Night Marchers the face of Elder Palmer changed
significantly. I had to do a double-take. I couldn't believe what I was
seeing, especially within the MTC.
I manage to whisper: "Excuse me, Elder Palmer, but you remind me of
_someone_"
"who?"
"_him_"
"him who?"
"The way you look right now - the color of your eyes, the expression on
your face - everything - reminds me of the devil."
A hush fell over the district. Finally Elder Garcia asked "How do you
know?"
As I told the story I previously shared with you guys, Elder Palmer's face
started to glow red. Everyone stared at him. A body of shadow, outlined
in red, stepped out of Elder Palmer and into the middle of the room. It
was him - the one that tormented me years before.
Everyone else was frozen with fear, so I jumped off my bunk bed and turned
on the light. The shadow was dimmer, but his presence still commanded our
attention. He turned at me, his finger pointing, his mouth opening to
utter some unwelcome message.
At that very moment, I raised my arm to the square and banished him; he
vanished without a word.
At that point Elder Palmer blinked and came to. Everyone (except Elder
Palmer) witnessed this manifestation. elder Palmer couldn't remember
anything from that night.
We sang a few hymns to calm our nerves, then I dedicated that room to the
Holy Spirit.
I have not seen that spirit since then.
