During a recent episode of the TV show "Elementary", the Sherlock Holmes
character mentioned a programming language called Malbolge. Checking out
the Wikipedia article, it seems that Malbolge is an esoteric programming
language created by Ben Olmstead in 1998. (Malbolge was named after the
eighth circle of Hell in Dante's _Inferno_.)

We here have noted that some programming languages make certain programs
difficult to write. Malbolge is a programming language designed to make
*all* programs quite nearly *impossible* to write!!! Here is the "Hello
World!" program written in Malbolge:

('&%:9]!~}|z2Vxwv-,POqponl$Hjig%eB@@>}=<M:9wv6WsU2T|nm-,jcL(I&%$#"
`CB]V?Tx<uVtT`Rpo3NlF.Jh++FdbCBA@?]!~|4XzyTT43Qsqq(Lnmkj"Fhg${z@>

This does look a bit like line noise... and is reminiscent of a TECO macro.
But ISTM that the Malbolge language... whatever debt it may owe to TECO...
is much more obscure and difficult.

Some details can be had at:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malbolge

At the bottom of this web page, there is a link to some C source code for a
Malbolge interpreter... so you can run the above "Hello World!" program and
verify that it actually works.
