I'm looking for an original description of the "fortune cookie"
program tradition, that is, the earliest mention of the program AND
explanation of the name. I'm sure I have seen something like that a
long time ago in some TOPS-20 or ITS help file, but I don't have a
TOPS-20 or ITS machine on the other side of my keyboard anymore :-(.
Or, if somebody knows if there is and where is such a reference in
Stephen Levy's _Hackers_, or Byte article, or whatever. Thanks in
