Rest Home Crier
Such a wild whimper, wailing from that limper,
Pouring plights, sounding sad,
scouring vocal contoured heights, frustrated mad.
24-hour constant care, never allowed to be left alone,
Guarded and satiated, howling pleads,
for the years in housing once called home.
Mum has died, now she's not there.
Memories will not hide, missing her touch, lovingly cared,
Without love and no one caring, the crying continues strong.
Sometimes over an hour long, a selfishly sorrowful song.
Early morning or late at night, until it ends there's no respite.
Doesn't matter that others sleep,
let them share the fault and loudly weep.
Not for glory to achieve show off fame,
More to point the finger, saying you're the cause take the blame.
Injuries, aches, pains, pangs and pricks, hard spasms untamed.
Spreading through the air,
the closest can hear, the tragedy that must be bared.
The world outside may soon be lost,
Keep looking away and pay the cost.
When it is a sin to agree with the powers that be.
The Almighty Word demands open eyes and the honest truth, do see.
