Does anyone know of any good tuba piccolo duets? I am a senior in high
school but I am an able player as is my piccolo partner so send any duet
suggestions regardless of difficulty.

Chris,

You could try:
The Boa Constrictor and the Bobolink by Maganini (Edition Musicus)
Duet for flute & tuba (works on piccolo) by Walter S. Hartley (Tenuto
Publs.)

and you might find it worthwhile to look at the repertoire (smallish)
for flute and bassoon or oboe and bassoon.

We play flute & bassoon, and have to arrange/derange much of what we
perform... There's a few such on Andrew's website :
www.wyvers.freeserve.co.uk
with MIDI files to download

Just a thought -
both pairs of you could try 'O Ruddier Than the Cherry', a Handel duet
for bass (singer) and sopranino recorder (which is doing bird-songy
things).
Enjoy,

Go to www.fluteworld.com to look up Picc/tuba duets. Look under music,
duets, mixed. You should find some there. If all else fails you can always
do flute/cello or bass duets and play them on picc & tuba. I hope that
helps.

You might try www.fluteworld.com . They are very good at finding all kinds
of music. They have all the music they have on hand listed. Go to Flute
Music and in the Sheet Music Search type in the No. 19. I found one there
looking quickly. You might find more. You can always call them and they
can help you further. They have the largest selection of flute music in the
world. They are located in Michigan. Since I live in Michigan and I'm only
about 1 hr 15 min. away I go there frequently and can verify that. They do
have a LOT of music in any combination you have possibly think of. Good
luck. Marge (mcfa...@prodigy.net )
