Observe:
------------------------------------------------------------
Montgomery "Good News" Moose = Peter J "Peter J Ross" Ross
------------------------------------------------------------
The leader.
The vote taker.
Tall, awkward, prone to getting his antlers stuck in low-hanging
trees.
No low-hanging trees on Usenet, happily.
Patient, good natured sort...
Uses smileys a lot, the bastard.
always ready to try again when the first attempt fails.
Scientific type...likes to tinker.
Runs the kook awards month after month. Keeps messing about with the
categories.
---------------------
Dottie Dog = Lionel
---------------------
The cheerleader. Spirited, perky. A bit reckless and impatient at
times. A go-getter.
An exact match.
---------------------
Zipper Cat = spooge
---------------------
The athlete.
Competes in the 400 meter gokillyourself.
Pushes himself to the max. A bit overbearing. Stands up for
himself. Tough guy who was raised in the waterfront and moved to
the suburb of Green Meadow. Hides a good heart behind a tough
exterior.
This is all code for "Really likes to tell people to go kill
themselves."
-------------------------
Woolma Lamb = Meat Plow
-------------------------
Somewhat self-centered and vain. A ballerina. Will stand up for
the others when given the opportunity but often does what's best
for herself first. Fusses over her hair and appearance a lot.
Substitute "SUV and house" for "hair and appearance" and we have a
winner.
----------------------------------------------
Bingo "Be It All" Beaver = A. "Ratzy" Ratzio
----------------------------------------------
Mischievous materialistic prankster.
Does saying dumb stuff count as a prank?
Prone to make foolish bets and to fall for crazy money-making
schemes.
Also prone to later claim that he was trolling all along.
Wears overalls with knee patches, perhaps coming from a
low-income household and trying hard to look good to his
middle-class friends.
Newbie. Tries desperately to fit in.
Will share with the others after Zipper's prodding to "do the
right thing".
If only he had something to share...
--------------------------------
Portia Porcupine = K.A. Cannon
--------------------------------
The "baby" of the group. Youngest member. Innocent and honest
although tends to whine and throw tantrums when things trouble
her.
I'm not sure whether Kevin is all that young.
----------------------
Braker Turtle = Kali
----------------------
Bespectacled, bookish.
A "cognitive scientist".
Runs pretty fast for a turtle.
Throws pretty well for a girl.
Nerdy-looking and yet hip to many things.
A great big hosebeast and yet harbors feelings of superiority.
Town paperboy.
The paper being the Cognitive Science Monthly, natch.
------------------------------------
Rocco Rabbit = kook hunter "Brett"
------------------------------------
Former bully.
He tried, but it didn't work.
Likes to play playful pranks.
Keeps changing his email address.
Tough guy on the side of the angels...will stand up to defend the
gang from the bad guys.
That's kook hunter "Brett", alright.
---------------------------------
Rudyard Lion = Dr. Flonkenstein
---------------------------------
Foreign exchange student. Likes loud Hawaiian shirts and beanie
hats.
Bingo.
Quiet type.
We wish.
------------------------------------
Lolly Squirrel = Cujo DeSockpuppet
------------------------------------
Daughter of the town candy manufacturer. Raised in an
upper-middle-class environment. Carries a purse and wears a pink
beret. Somewhat of a tattletale but gets along well with the
others.
This really is uncanny.

Some people may have suggested that AUK posters get very upset when
they read one of Ari's posts.
Such people appear not to have read Jamie's characteristic foaming
after reading one of Ari's posts, and therefore are unqualified to
make an informed comparison between what AUKers do and what people who
are *really* very upset do.
However, who knows what the future may hold? Maybe Jamie will slurp
enough AUKers to be in a position to become Vote Wrangler and thus
have all his own attempts at nominating other people accepted?
Only Nostradamus and Sollog know for sure, and they're both strangely
silent.

Oh, for fuck's sake.
Looking over the responses in this thread, I'd say that you and your
fellow AUK dingleberries were reduced to standard, AUK-style lames, but
that's all you knock-kneed weaklings ever bring to the table. No reduction
in writing style is necessary for you dimwitted, dull
intellectual-pretenders. Every last one of you sheep-like droids should
pool all your resources (such as they are) and pay someone who is much
more useful than yourselves to have spooge's fabled razor extended to
several hundred feet long. When that's done, all of you clones can do the
world a favor by taking a running leap at it neck first.
Does Frank Welker post to AUK?
He seems to be everywhere.

The awards granted by alt.usenet.kooks are the official Usenet kook
awards, Linda. They were not created for the purpose of devaluing acts
of kindness. They were created, and are maintained, for the purpose of
recognizing abusive posters. Your fellow nominees are liars, bigots,
frauds, forgers, defamers, screed spammers, people who falsely accuse
others of stalking when they themselves are the stalkers, etc. You get
the picture. If you don't, return to the above link and read.
Not just anyone can be nominated; there are standards that must be
upheld. No one may be nominated for purposes of revenge or a joke. Not
all nominations are accepted. There must be evidence of abuse. You have
generated a lot of it. You are an abuser.

It's just Usenet. It's just words. But when someone, kook, idiot, fool

there is going to be some retribution. If that retribution amounts to a
Kook of the Month Award, so the fuck what?

managed to find common ground and even comraderie with literally
*hundreds* of individuals and groups with whom I, in a former state of
cluelessness, once butted heads. The Sn*htards stand out bright and
clear among a very, very small group of folks with whom I can find no
common ground, in whom I can find no redeeming value, and for whom I
have absolutely no respect whatsoever.
I wouldn't feed Dean Humphries a handful of my own shit if he showed up

Apparently kook awards have more intrinisic value to Usenet than the
laughable trolls distributed in a.f.
Your challenge is to convince a.f. and auk [and all of usenet] that a
garbage dump is more important than the services provided by the "kook
hunters".

It's a tad early, but I predict Ari will be embracing the word with much

Believe me, Kevin, when I say that I want to post important, serious
posts about grand themes. I often think about how much fuller and
meaningful my life would be if I wrote about relevant, universal
topics - like Edmond, Brad, and Alexa. Alas, somehow the obscure pop
culture references and easy jokes always suck me back in.

It's a cartoon. Didn't I mention that in the first post? Specifically,
it's an '80s cartoon where a bunch of anthropomorphic animal

Your aspirations are noted. There is nothing stopping you from
achieving the greatness you yearn for. You must strive for the
greatness!!

I as well. I also want to make thought provoking and philosophical
post about weighty issues that are important to us all. If I tried to
post about other newsgroups and stuck my nose into things that aren't
my concern in those newsgroups I somehow would be a better person for
it. So it seems that for others who act like intrusive and fussy net
consciences. I am always going the easy route and fabricating
extravagant trolls in order to lay claim to (f)lame fame. However
fleeting and obscure it may be.

Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd not good enough for you?

Economy versus quality. There is a conundrum.
I really think you are being overly charitable with yourself by
characterizing your "Get Along Gang" parody as genuine (f)lame
material. Granted it was silly and innocuously cute. Cuttingly
brilliant genuine a dot f award winning stuff? Hardly.
I expect more from a dot f's elder statesmen.
You set the bar Ari. This is a disappointment.

Ah - Mr A, you seem to have a rather benign patience with the goings
on around here.
I've remarked elsewhere in this fine newsgroup how puzzled I am at the
baseness of some of the "flames."
Do you know whether or not these "flamers" have a handbook? I've
noticed an underlying step-wise theme in many of the "exchanges" much
like Aunt Dotties recipe for meatloaf.
Perhaps I'm imagining things.

Peter - I'd hoped you would show up. As a newbie, how did you decide
to join the AUK brigade? I found it surprising that you were able to
conscript the "Vote Wrangler" title with such ease.
Do you find it difficult to be taken seriously in your aforementioned
role when you are so obviously personally embroiled in all the flame
threads?
You can't even get that much right.

That confusion serves some folks well in their present campaign to
discredit AUK...
Heh
Hehehe..
Heheheheheheheh... Hahahaha!
Ahhhhh.... can you believe that anyone would be so silly as to think they
could discredit AUK? Heheheheheh! Discredit AUK. Un-fucking-believable.
The whole purpose of AUK places it (those of you who take this all much too
seriously may want to avert your eyes right now because the truth is about
to be revealed...) purposefully at the bottom of the Usenet food chain.
This is the place that the idiots of the Net are supposed to be sent to be
distracted from imposing their insanity on other groups where people are
trying to have informed discussions. Of course, on Usenet "informed
discussions" doesn't mean what it does in a university. Or elementary
school, for that matter.
The past few months AUK has been very successful in that important role.
Several alt.flame kooks have been diverted from that group.
AUK deserves a medal. Woo Hoo!

Nostradamus predicted that Sollog would postdict that very event.
I've re-added AUK, because Peter won't see your post if it is only in
alt.flame. You'll want to include AUK in future posts to him.
Hmmm, "embroiled"? D'ya really think that? Peter is usually the voice of
reason and humor rather than a combatant.
And, contrary to what certain elements repeat ad-nausem, AUK is, and always
has been, a flame group, so participation in AUK requires involvement in
flame threads.

No, actually I'm not interested in posting to AUK. If Peter doesn't
see my post, it's no great shakes. I don't understand why he
crossposts, though. Or why you are interested in redirecting my post.

Embroiled? Yes, it seems to me that Peter is somewhat invested in
supporting and contributing to some very destructive threads and
posters. I don't sense reason so much as fatuous smugness in his
posts, and I can honestly say I've never seen anything the least bit
humorous in his posts.
That's one reason I wanted to hear from him a little about how he came
to be what he seems to be.
Maybe I'm just reading too many angst-ridden threads.

No, I do not agree with your assessment of AUK's history. There was a
time when AUK had a modicum of decency. As with most of Usenet, the
fertile ground for degeneracy was irresistible and *now* it's a magnet
for losers, abusers, and hangers-on.

The Sn*h collective is a worthless garbage dump of tired lames, impotent
wretches, losers, and WOMBATs. In the years I've been on Usenet, I've
managed to find common ground and even comraderie with literally
*hundreds* of individuals and groups with whom I, in a former state of
cluelessness, once butted heads. The Sn*htards stand out bright and
clear among a very, very small group of folks with whom I can find no
common ground, in whom I can find no redeeming value, and for whom I
have absolutely no respect whatsoever.
I wouldn't feed Dean Humphries a handful of my own shit if he showed up
starving on my doorstep and begged for it. And I wouldn't put it past

Your tone bespeaks such intimacy with such zoological detail. No wonder you
started telling people you're a fag -- for you, it's a step up.

Well, y'know, it's not so much zooalogical detail as "Stain's face"
vs. TV pictures of a baboon's anus. I know you folks don't go in
for documentaries so much as you do for FOX newss, but hey...
As for me being a fag, well, unlike you I just don't like Bush.

You mean you actually *watch* *television*?

Some of us go in for spellcheckers as well.
> As for me being a fag, well, unlike you I just don't like Bush.
We've a lengthy tradition of fuckwits being boosted up way above their
station because they make ample puppets for the boys in the smoke-filled
room (cf. Harding, Warren). Never mind the falldowns in foreign and
domestic policy alike, we've gotta <Southern accent> re-elect Bush for
God, Guns, an' to keep the Gay Fageets from marryin'! </Southern accent>
(Actually, more like "finally elect" him, but there you go.) Given the
preponderance of Republicans in high office lately and their expert
manipulation of the teeming hordes of franchised fuckheads, I suggest
you stay on your side of the pond before fag-shooting is legalized, if
not made outright compulsory.
I don't think this country has been this divided since the Civil War.
I actually know people who want to move to escape the insane California
real estate prices, but "if it's to a red state, forget it".

It's good to see you branching out with your snuhformance art.
You make it too complicated. The long and short of it is that
the AUK hierarchy is mutually re enforcing. I noticed this when
I had my last encounter with AUK in late 2002. The circle the
wagons mentality was extremely obvious when I had arguably
border line nuts invading my own personal business.
I am certain that the more reflective AUK members, including
Kali and the other psychologists thought that there was something
amiss when the commentary drifted to my own very private business.
But there was not enough spunk in the bunch of reflective posters
there to say "Hey, wait a minute? Isn't this going out of bounds?".
That in a nutshell is what is wrong with AUK. Until there is a set
of guidelines where someone with some sort of IQ can blow the whistle
if enthusiasm spills into stalking, the entire AUK concept is going
to be pitched to the lowest common denominator , with adrenaline and
a dare mentality substitute for actual investigations into genuine
net abuse.
The commentary offered in this thread is funny, but the problem is
very real, as I found out over two years ago.

Never been there, Jason. Unlike you.
I know it's down when you're spending many hours every day getting bitch-
slapped on Usenet.

Oh the irony.
Lessee... Jason spent the week posting to Usenet while John was playing in
a hockey tournament.
What was that about "IKYABWAI flames", Jason?
