I'd bet there are a few NJ Giants along with fans on both sides that would
disagree, sorry your
team lost.... shit happens

Really. An undefeated team goes up against one of the few teams that
could give them trouble is boring?

Farve knew he would cave if he went to the big dance, and threw that
interception so he didn't have to fail in the Super Bowl.

Meh, if the Patwats win, then it shuts up the old Miami players who played
nobody an entire freaking season.

If the Gaints win, then it shuts up uppity Boston rednecks.

It's a win-win!

The Eagles let Strahan beat a rookie Offensive Lineman repeatedly too.
Stuff happens. :(

Either way this SB will be historic.

1. Another NY/Boston circle-jerk? This is the first time since a NY/Boston
team has faced one another in a championship since when? I believe that
would be the Redsox/Mets in 86. Then I think you have to go
waaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyy back to Redsox/Dodgers (ok, actually, they were
called the Robins back then) in 1916 (I think).

2. If these playoffs are any indication of the quality of play we'll get on
Feb. 3, we're in for a pretty good game. IMHO, that's what matters/

Have you seen the Giants play? Have you seen the Patriots play? I mean, there's
always the outside chance that I could be wrong... but this one's not gonna be
close.

Dead wrong. This will probably be one of the three highest rated Super Bowls
of all time for at least the first half. Fans of neither team will tune in
to either see New England go undefeated (30% of viewers) or to see New
England lose (70% of viewers). There is so much hate for the Patriots right
now that you can probably count on another 20 million people tuning in to
see them lose that wouldn't have tuned in if they were 17-1 right now. I'm
guessing that possibly most of the first half could see 100M viewers which
would make it the highest rated Super Bowl ever and I'll give this SB an
outside (<15%) chance of beating the record set by M*A*S*H.

If New England had lost a game during the season, it'd still probably draw
80M or so since the first game between the two was so good.

The point spread of the game is absurd (-14 Patriots) but was put there to
get action on the game. I'm guessing it drops to -9 by kickoff in two weeks.
If it goes below that, I'd fully expect the ratings for this SB to break the
previous record held by Pitt/Dall in 96.

You know Chad is a fat bastard, but in this case he's a fat bastard with a
very very good point here. New England are on what looks to be a
goldberg-esque streak at the minute and I cannot see anyone beating them
(ever at this stage)

As for the Giants.. after the superbowl they may rename the team the New
York Jobbers. This will be hard to stomach for a lot of New Yorkers but in
any case - Go Pats! :)

Lol, those were the days when the Giants would snatch a title in the end while many were counting them out. If they can get a decent long term solution for QB.
