Killer nigger, gang member is 'last week's toilet water'

Chicago gang member and heroin dealer Joshua Lee thought he�d gotten away
with killing cousins Michael and Bart Gertz in Lockland last September.
Lee, 26, lured the cousins to Michael Gertz�s apartment with a text
message that he had some heroin he wanted them to try. Lee also knew
Michael Gertz recently pawned a motorcycle and had money.
After shooting the cousins, who had addiction problems, Lee went back to
Chicago and monitored news accounts about the double homicide. When he saw
police had few leads, he returned.
That�s when Lee was arrested and charged with two counts of murder. To
avoid the two life terms, Lee pleaded guilty Friday to two counts of
manslaughter and agreed to spend 25 years in prison.
�Michael Gertz was shot once in the back of the head. Bartholomew was shot
two or three times in the front of the body and then fatally shot once in
the back of the head,� Assistant Hamilton County Prosecutor Rick Gibson
told Common Pleas Court Judge Leslie Ghiz.
The Gertz family approved the plea deal because they wanted the ordeal to
end � and brutally told Lee so during Friday�s hearing.
�I hope God doesn�t have mercy on your soul. You gave Mike and Bart none,�
Kelli Peavley, Michael Gertz�s wife told Lee.
One relative refused to call Lee by name.
�Inmate 1482789, you�ll be remembered like last week�s toilet water,�
Kathleen Ehret, one of Michael Gertz�s six sisters, told Lee.
�Inmate 1482789, today, we will forget your name. We will never think of
you again.�
Lee pleaded guilty but told the judge he was innocent, suggesting perhaps
he was having to pay for other crimes for which he wasn�t punished.
Lee was sentenced to five years in prison for aggravated battery. In that
case, Lee beat up a girlfriend and, when a female friend of that
girlfriend asked why she tolerated the beating, Lee responded by severely
beating the friend.

CINCINNATI - Cincinnati police arrested a suspect for the shooting of a
19-year-old man in West Price Hill last week.
On Aug. 20, Malcolm Graham was shot in the chest in the 4400 block of West
Eighth Street.
Graham was taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. His
current condition was not released at this time.
Police arrested Mark Hinston Tuesday in connection with the shooting.
The incident remains under investigation.
