Delrie Rosario, 36, was in the middle of working out last Friday with her
sister when the tragedy occurred at a local gym in Kent, Washington.
Rosario fell and hit her head while running on a treadmill at an LA
Fitness and became unconscious.
While speaking with KIRO7, her sister Marissa Woods gave more details
about the tragedy. Recalling the moment, Woods said Rosario tried to slow
the machine down to stop. “I thought maybe she just missed a step. She
just collapsed, [and] hit her head on the machine,” said Woods. “I was
screaming, you know, ‘anybody, just please help! Anybody know how to do
CPR?” None of the employees rushed to help but other gym-goers jumped into
action. “Not one worker,” said Woods. “I think they were in shock.” Sadly,
Rosario later died at a local hospital.
