FRANKFORT — A plan to eradicate gizzard shad from a lake in northern
Kentucky that the state managed for fishing will be the topic of a
public meeting next week.
The Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources set the meeting
for 7 p.m. Monday at Curtis Gates Lloyd Wildlife Management Area
Clubhouse near Crittenden.
The agency is seeking public comment on the plan for Grant County's
Corinth Lake, a 96-acre lake owned by the department.
The state says gizzard shad that were introduced from an unknown
source are interfering with management of panfish in the lake.
