My Dad asked me a couple weeks ago. Why do FF use straight streams most of
the time when they have adjustable nozzles?
I know that streams are used in flashover situations, to lower the thermal
at the ceiling. Penciling, they call it. And when you have a deck gun across
the street, and you need to get the water there.
But most of the time, I sure think that a fog pattern would be more
effective. Especially when a room is totally involved.
