Cats I'll tell ya....

We have 3, one female and 2 boys.... The female has a habit of waking us
around 4:30 every morning to tell us shes hungry.... Shes real sweet about
it and its gotten to be a bright spot for us to wake with.... She climbs
over me purring real loud and sits next to my face till I lift the covers so
she can come under to purr and kitty claw my stomach and chest....

Now the boys are different.... they hunt for food anywhere they can get....
the table.... the counters.... the sink.... the floor.... nothing is
safe....

We had a friends over for dinner last night and of course the dishes were
put off till this morning.... Stacked neatly on the sink counter waiting for
thier bath.... Many 15 or 20 of them.... just minding their own business....

Sometime around 4:30 this morning a bomb went off in our kitchen.... biggest
crash I've heard in a long time.... the sounds of pieces of plates pinging
off the walls and down the hallway.... from the frontroom to the
bathroom....

One of the boys pushed the entire stack of dishes off the counter....

So guess what??

We're getting new dishes....

We're getting new dishes.... LOL

you def got to be a cat lover to not mind being woke so early..I ignor
my dogs and sometimes pay for it
with a pile of doo doo-to have to clean up...I am not a morning person-
works nights most my life and even
into retirement-that is not changing....now if I wake up 3:30/4 am, I
will let my 3 dogs out to go potty...
then when they come back in-"try" to go back to sleep....am a dog
lover but a grouchy morning person who
needs her sleep ! lol

figured out how to push a pile of plates that heavy gets a tip of the hat

foot and a half high.... and everyone of them broke.... we'll be picking up
pieces for weeks.... How you been Barry??

Not as well as I would like, Mikal, but I will be 70 this year and must
expect not to feel as a 21 year old again, mate....in other words, not
really well these days...... I do hope to feel a lot better later on this
year and make a tourist visit to your beautiful country.....

I just returned home from a 3 week interstate holiday with my oldest
daughter and family..... She lives in Brisbane, Queensland, after moving
there 12 months ago from Sydney.....The heat and humidity was far too high
for me.... even though it has been 40oC today and also predicted for
tomorrow as well to be 40oC again, but the humidity is nothing like
Queensland weather, and is more bearable, especially in a 2 story brick home
as opposed to a 'Hardy Plank' clad 1 story home that my daughter is living
in.....

My son and I are also 'owned' by a 19 month old 'Oriental' cat...... It
get's away with murder!..... :-))

Your kitties are very lucky to live with you. As much as I love cats, dogs

now is not a climber. Perhaps you need to do one of those houses I've seen
where kitty climbing places are everywhere. If so, just don't put your china
on them. :-)

Yes, Jimmy built a walkway all around the living room. Fuji is a mad
climber, Hunjo has never been up there, he's not as nimble with all his
heft. There are also little plexiglas platforms here and there for sitting
on and looking down.

Joan, What do you think of the Geithner income tax evasion? He somehow
overlooked filing for four years, then finally was billed for the last two

He filed his returns, just didn't pay FICA taxes, Social Security and
Medicare. He was in an unusual job where they didn't withhold his share and
pay the employer's share. I don't know how his taxes are taken care of, it
he has an accountant or tax preparer he should fire them. If he does it
himself, which would greatly surprise me, he doesn't keep very good track of
his money, I always knew when I hit the ceiling for withholding and got a
bonus in a couple of paychecks at the end of the year, but then I am kind of
anal about keeping track of my money. It was a stupid thing to do but as I
understand his knowledge of how the markets and the bailout proposals work
is needed and there aren't too many other people who have that knowledge.
And the Republicans like him so I'm sure he will be confirmed. So maybe
Obama has to afford time. The proof will be in the pudding and if he does a
good job everyone will forgive him.

I wouldn't call it evasion, evasion requires some positive act to conceal
either the fact of the liability or the funds to pay it. This is just a
case of failure to pay which he corrected, albeit rather tardily.
