I hope this works.

There are a couple of rabbit pictures.

The baby we are very excited about because it's a color Josh didn't already
have. The mother was a Himalayan and the father was black. The baby is
blue. There were 3 in the litter. One still born, one peanut (double dwarf
gene - they never survive) and this one. It's very chunky and healthy. We
have named it Smokey and it is just the sweetest thing. The ones you raise
from babies - as long as you handle them frequently - are so laid back and
calm - hardly ever nervous or easily frightened.

You've met Nellie before but I'm showing off my kid too :-) Everyone says he
looks like my identical twin. I wish I was that pretty :-) Nellie is
expecting her babies next Friday and we are very, very excited about this.
We haven't had a litter of Holland Lops yet and we have been frustrated for
months trying to get them to breed. She was bred to his other Grand
Champion - Harvey.

In the picture with Donnie, he is holding Romeo - Josh's very first rabbit.
He took Best of Breed in his very first show and hasn't won a thing since
:-( He's the biggest pet of them all - very pampered and doted on.

The picture of my fil - this is just the neatest thing. My best friend's
husband is an artist. I had gathered up all the photos I had of Mr. T to
take over to Titusville the week after the funeral. Dane saw them at work
one night and asked to borrow them. The next thing I know, her husband did
this watercolor of Mr. T. What they didn't realize was that Mr. T's very
favorite place in the world was down on the Indian River in Titusville. We
used to go there all the time - if for no other reason than to just sit and
look at the water. There are several small islands in the lake. In the
portrait of him, his hair looks windblown - in the background is the water
with the sunset and seagulls (and islands). It's just so right.

We are giving it to Mrs. T for her birthday next week :-)

I am absolutely hooked :-) They are so sweet and so fluffy :-) We're
putting up a 'barn' out back just for the rabbits - construction starts in
about 1-2weeks. I guess we're in it for the long haul now :-)

He currently has 19 and expecting 5 more litters over the next month.

Thanks, Norma :-)

Actually, all of his three breeds are dwarfs. Some babies are born with a
double dwarf gene and those always die within 3 days. They are called
'peanuts' and are born with a huge head and tiny body.

But the baby you saw is a Netherland Dwarf - the smallest rabbit breed -
getting up to a whopping 2# when fully grown :-)

That was a blessing, Kelly. Because he was in a LOT of pain. Bone cancer
is very, very painful. He had almost his entire family around him. One
grandson couldn't make it down - but everyone else was there. I've never
known anyone who's family was more important to them than Mr. T. It was the
only time he was really happy - when we were all there with him :-) He had
his faith, too. And I know he's watching over us all now.

I understand what you are saying here, and in a previous post
about it being such a shock and still feeling numb. My mom was
diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and died 5 weeks later. It was
just so shockingly quick. At the same time, even though we didn't
want to lose her, sometimes death is the best thing you can hope
for....
