Well, my French doors and doggy door are all trimmed and painted. Next on
the agenda is a wooden deck I'll build today. It'll sit atop my patio slab
and continue the floor level of my house, which is 8" higher than the patio
slab. I'll use pressure-treated Douglas Fir an ugly greenish color for a
year or so, that mellows out to gray and will never need painting. I won't
be around here much again today, so talk as bad about me as you wish....

Talk bad about you, hell, I'm going to send a bunch of sheepees to kidnap
you & all your tools so I can get some of these chores done around here. I
tell you, a grandmother's life is just awful once the kids find out they can
get paid for all this stuff they learnt how to do for fun at Gramma's House!

I just got a contract from a maintenance company for my appliances,
electric, plumbing and AC. It's only a couple of hundred dollars a year
but it gives you peace of mind. Especially when the AC goes out in the
summer heat!

You mean that cute little haty that my secret admirer (I think) sent me?
Tell Sam the snailman it's the house with the red light. Not much business
but what the hell! It gives the neighbors something to gossip about. grin.
That book on Chicago is great.Cincinnati at a faster gait.

Hell no. I wonder if I'll ever get it hung. The firm that did my doors is
waiting for a new employee to start work with them. He supposedly has had
crown molding experience, but then that's what they told me about the last
guy who didn't know as much as I do....

I actually finished the deck today. I get started on one project and then
drift off into other things, running errands, etc....

It's 52/38, if you know what that means, not 45/45, so it fits up against
the corner and points more down than out. Empty space behind can carry
wires, cable, etc....
