To the members of the Glitterati: :D

I bought Hard Candy's "Haze" Glitter Eye pencil
recently and like it...it's quite subtle. I am
deliberating buying the "Pink Eye" pencil now
and was wondering how visible the -color- is.
I like the Haze, but you almost can't see the
pencil color, just the glitter. Is Pink Eye
most definitely pink when it's actually on?

What color is haze? is this a new spring glitter pencil, or is it one of
the eye-gliders?

Haze is an eye-glider, kind of purplish I think... check out
http://www.hardcandy.com/products.html and judge for yourself!

I went to the site which is now working but it is very hard to tell colors
from it. I have the mental & rock star eye quads and in real life they
look very different than portrayed. rjudith

It's a purplish-mauvish *glitter* pencil (says Glitter
Eye on the side)...the pencil's mauvish, glitter's
silver. The SA says it's one of the new ones...

I have the "Sky" (light blue) and "Pink Eye" (pastel pink) pencils,
and you are right that the glitter is more prominent than the color of
the pencil itself. I consider that to be good thing.

That is the difference between the Hard Candy glitter pencils and the
cheaper knock-offs by Fun cosmetics that have just come out. The
knock-offs are mostly pencil with a couple of token glitter pieces,
which hardly show up after being applied to the skin. The Hard Candy
pencils, on the other hand, are *mostly* glitter, and glide on very
smoothly without stretching the skin. (However, I returned my Galaxy
glitter pencil because it had dried out and turned into a sandpaper
pencil.)

You can see the color through the glitter, though. One thing I often
do to intensify the color, is to line the eye with another pencil or
shadow first, and *then* go over it with the Glitter Eye. This works
really well.

Oh man! -envy- I recently bought the "Haze" lip liner and "Haze"
lipstick, which I ADORE... but I can't wear it because I have no eyeshadow
to match. =( When I saw the mini-counter at Nordie's I didn't find much
eyestuff, aside from the eyeshadow quads, which were all there (I have "pin
up" which I LOVE). I want to go buy them all!

But anyhoo, I'm wondering what part of the country you're in. I want to
find somewhere that has the _full line_ of their cosmetics, cuz I'm not too
crazy about mail order (but I'll take it if that's all I can get =).

All of their glitter eye pencils were gone when I got there, except for
mermaid and some other greenish color which I didn't like.

Anyways I'm in so cal, but not interested in driving to l.a. or bev hills
just to get HC, in case anyone knows any other HC locales. =b

by the way, anyone got any info on their lipglosses? ;)

Grrr...I noticed that. I made a special trip to snag those pencils (on
sale this week @ Walgreens 2 for $5) but when I tested them I noticed they
suck. grrr.

Hrm...do you know why it dried out like that?

Lancome also has a glittery liner sort of thing. The color is "starry
night" and it comes only in those eyeshadow pen things. The color is a
deep midnight blue with fine silver glitter in it. It's *soo* pretty.
Buy it fast, it's selling out all around the town. I managed to get some
yesterday because they had the eyeshadow tips, but not the pens you need
to apply them. Right before I slunk away sadly, they managed to dig up
one pen in a battered box, so I snagged it (and got a lovely GWP along
with it). For glitter eye freaks in Boston, I couldn't find any of the
pencils around town. Grrr. However, Urban Decay in Neiman Marcus is
doing free make overs this week and next week.

I sharpened mine and that helped a whole bunch.
