Charlotte is an amazing Santa. Everything was individually wrapped in
beautiful pink, purple and yellow pastel paper. It literally took my
breath away. So, here's what my way-too-generous Santa sent me:
Nine nail polishes, in various shades of pink and red and glitter
(Bless you, Charlotte...)
Four drop dead gorgeous red lipsticks (where has Rimmel "Groovy" been
all my life???????)
Two Borghese Perlati Eye Shimmers (*sigh* - love 'em!)
La Femme Cake mascara...I am so eager to test drive this
A mini Rocket lipstick and lipliner
A mini Lancome E/S quad
An Avalon Organic Skin Care Travel Set
A Rimmel 1000 Kisses lipliner
The must-have WnW 666 lip pencil
Three WnW E/S Chalks
Revlon Color Lock E/S Base - the best!!!!! Yessssssssssss!!!!!
A delicious smelling hand poured candle (is that banana, Charlotte?
It's killer!)
A cute Christmas tree shaped dispenser filled with M&Ms, which I'm
already eating
A mini BCBGirls Star (yum!), and
A bottle of LOVE'S SOFT JASMIN!!!!!! Ahhhhhhhh! This is my absolute
favorite, and I haven't posted about this for a while, so I know she
did her homework!! Charlotte also included an adorable card wishing me
a "colorful, tasty and fragrant holiday!" It will be now, for sure!!
Charlotte, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your gifts.
You've made this a very special Christmas for me! And thanks as always
to Jennifer for organizing!
xoxo,
Audra

Okay, I've been reading all these Secret Santa posts, and even considering

I can only speak for m'self. I live a few blocks away from the BEST discount
cosmetics store ever (and I scored some really good stuff for my Santee that I
suspect will make some alt-fashioners cry 'OVERSPENDER' but nay, nay.
Many of us also subsidize our packages with GWP freebies & samples.

In my case, I saved many BOGOs and GWPs and amortized the buy-one
get one half-price stuff. And, of course, I sent a handmade bracelet.
I think the challenge of keeping it to $20 (I was six cents over) is a large
part of the fun of SSSSecret Santa.
Ok, in my case, I wanted to get JennP the Philosophy Guru set but it was
$30. I was searching online for discounts and drugstore.com was offering it
free with select Philosophy purchases. I ordered myself the Gingerbread
House (darn! had to buy something for me!) so I considered the cost split
evenly between the 2 or $17.50 each. The candle was free with the purchase
of the candle I bought for my hair stylist. I paid something like $4 for
the tube of hand cream so I guess I technically went over by a couple of
bucks.
So you CAN stretch $20 until it squeaks....that's a lot of the fun :)

I was thinking the challenge would be rather entertaining!

You find yourself keeping a running tally of things you can add (GWPs
and Samples are freebies) and trying to think of a theme.
I've already begun thinking about next year.

You two are an inspiration!
I am not the best discount shopper so the $20 gets et pretty quickly when
you are out at the store getting stuff for your Santa, but then if you're
good a saving and not using gwp's and samples you can include a bunch of
those if some of them seem right for your Santee.
