Bev,
I'll be going to Italy with husband and daughters on 7/19 so I checked
my Born to Shop book. Nothing is mentioned about shopping in Sicily
so I would suggest she look for things that are common in the shops
and appear to be affordable. For example, on our last trip I bought
pretty marble ring boxes and leather bracelets as gifts for friends as
well as beautiful Florentine stationery. We'll be going to Rome,
Florence and Venice where shopping is abundant and I'll be looking for
leather, silk, gold and a way to pay for it all!

I bought tons of stuff in Italy--beautiful little flirty sweaters,
watercolor sketches, etc. but almost all of the high end makeup is
American! Very disappointing, and the exact opposite of London....
