Sorry to dump so many questions at once, but I've decided to delurk
and I didn't realize how many questions I have!

I keep watching strapless bra threads, and the natori, la senza, and
wonderbra strapless seem to be the most popular. I am a 34B, so
support isn't my main concern, which is why many of the strapless bra
threads aren't relevant to my question! I'm looking for smooth -
something I can wear under a close-fitting tank top. I'm the type of
person who hates lines to show underneath tops - I wear the Cacique
t-shirt bra under everything. Recommendations please, along with a
suggestion as to where to buy it if it's not a common bra (I think I
can find the wonderbra, haven't seen the natori or la senza). Is the
natori the same natori that can be found at Sears? They seemed cheap
in quality to me.

Also, does anyone use artist supply brushes as makeup brushes? Do you
find the cost savings worth it? Any Northern California store
recommendations, along with brands you recommend?

Many thanks,
jbournier

I'm so glad you asked about artists' brushes. It's my
favourite topis to rave about! Sorry I don't know much
about strapless bras, but I can give you my list of brushes:
A good brand to try is called "Loew-Cornell." They are
inexpensive and high quality. I'm not sure if they are real
or synthetic sable, but they certainly act like sable (for
painting too!)

7100 1/4 Angular is exactly the same as the MAC #22. I use
it for eyeliner, brows and crease work.

7000 10/0 Round is a superfine detail brush. It is great for
liquid liner, painting little mendhi (sp?) designs, and nail
art.

7500 8 Filbert is a good medium sized brush for applying lip
colour or concealer/foundation in small areas like around
the eyes.

7400 1/8 Angular is another good one for eyeliner or brow
detailing. The small size makes it great for getting really
precise fine lines.

7450 6 Chisel is a great multipurpose flat brush. I like to
use it for applying concealer.

7200 00 Fan is good for blending concealer. I find that more
of the product stays on this way than if I use a sponge.

7100 01 Shader is the best lip brush I have ever used. I
hate those retractable lip brushes for anything other than
carrying around in my purse, and lip
brushes are notorious for "shedding" little hairs all over
your perfetly applied lipstick, but this one has never shed
once.

None of these cost me more than $3, an unbeatable deal if
you have ever tried to buy a set of brushes in the departent
store.

The only thing you can't buy in the art store is a powder or
blush brush. If you are looking for one that is inexpensive
and decent, look in the maybelline naturals section. There
is a fluffy domed blush brush that I used for years before
splurging on one from the prescriptives counter. BTW, I
thought that the MAC powder brush was a huge ripoff. It has
shed all over my face ever since the first time I used it!
Don't waste your money!
Good Luck!
Julia

P.S. If you can't find these or anything comparable in your
area, I would be happy to pick them up for you and send
them, since I get an art student discount. Let me know! -J

I am actually wearing my new strapless bra with a little tank today, and
it is most satisfactory. Seamless, underwire, stays ups and $10 at
Target!! I don't know what it was called, but it was the only one that
didn't look like body armor, and it has an interesting "floating" sort
of attachment of the underwires.

I think I just bought the same bra. It is sort of spandex-y and has
removable straps. It makes a really nice line under clothes and stays
up really well. the only strapless that has ever worked for me. I
*love* Target!

I have two of these strapless bras from Target. One white, one black. They
are great--especially for the price!

What kind of support does this bra offer? So far only the Wacoal and
Wonderbra strapless bras have had enough support for me (C+)

Plenty for me, but I'm a B cup. It has grippy rubber on the edges and
stiffening wires in the sides, so it might be worth a try.
