You needen't necessarily have this tattooed on your foot, but:

would be different for sure! Converse would also love the free
advertising!

My suggestions:
1. Figure out what style of ink you like and that you would most want
to have. I've seen beautiful artwork done with several colors and
shaded so they blend into one another as if it was a colored
pencil/watercolor drawing, yet that's not the style of ink I would
ever get. Go to shops, see artist porfolios, see if the artist is
really good at the style you want. Although most can do almost any
form of artwork, most do a style that they're really into and really
good at.
2. Whatever you want has been done, somewhere, somehow, so wanting
something "different" isn't really likely to happen. Wanting something
"trendy" really depends on you. I see tattoos as a snapshot of the
person at a certain point in their life, although at the same time, I
think getting trendy tattoos are ridiculous. I knew a guy once who had
a Tweety bird on his chest. I thought it was stupid then (just not my
taste), and a couple of years later he didn't like it anymore, but it
stayed. He finally got it covered up with a tribal that he likes a lot
better, but isn't fawning all over it.
3. Give it some thought. There has to be something that you already
had in mind, I hope, rather than just having people spout off answers
to you. Find a design you like, or make adjustments on a design you
like and then put it off for awhile. If after awhile (the time depends
on you) you still love the design, then get it done.
4. Placement and size. Something to consider. If it's money issues,
then put off getting inked until you've got the dough. Good work does
not come cheap. You also need to know your pain threshold. If you're
not going to be able to take it in certain areas, then don't get
anything there because the dumbest thing you could do is have the
artist start to only stop 1/4 through. Then you'll just be left with a
few lines.
5. Realize that even if it gets finished in one sitting, you'll
probably have to go back for a touchup since the natural
peeling/scabbing will take some of the ink with it.
6. Once you do go, be nice and tip your artist well. This is a person
that is working on your skin, working on something that you'll have
forever (unless you pay the hefty price of removal), and really and
truly doesn't have to ink you if he/she doesn't want to.
7. The obvious stuff. Go to a reputable and clean place. Take care of
your ink.

Hope this helped a little,
Mz. Kitka

That was sent to me by one of my readers named Michael. His last name
was *not* Jordan. <grin/duck>
