I purchased a Gucci Kelly Bag at Costco a year ago. I paid over $400
for the bag and the metal closure just broke. I took it to the Gucci
Store to get it repair and found out that it is a Fake. I was shooked
and embrassed to find out that I bought a fake Gucci bag from Costco.
I thought that Costco is a reputable store and selling Fake is
illegal. Does anyone have experience or bought FAKE bags at Costco?
Please let me know.!!!!

Thanks

Wow! I would believe that a chain like that would
sell seconds or slightly defective rejects but I'm
surprised that they'd sell fakes outright. Do you happen
to still have the receipt? If so, I'd take it back, tell them
what Gucci told you and threaten to contact Gucci if
they don't give you your money back.

Unfortunately, it's rare that I save receipts for that long.
Usually, it's just until I make sure my credit card bill
is correct and am convinced that the item is fine. I register
my Coach bags so I don't have to worry about those.
In fact, they have my black Daypack right now and are
fixing it, according to the postcard I just got from them.

Stacy (wondering if those Prada bags at BJ's Wholesale
Club are real or fake since I've seen them there every time
I go)

Eve,

Were the bags advertised displayed as Gucci bags? Did it say authentic? I
don't know what a real Gucci in that style would normally cost, but I do
know that many excellent fakes (selling as fakes) sell for hundreds of
dollars. A bargain if the original bag is in the thousands.
If they were displayed as authentic Gucci, and you charged it on a credit
card, you can use your statement as a receipt. If you don't have the
statement anymore, you may be able to get a copy from the credit card
company for a small fee. Take that to Costco and demand a refund!

Good luck!

I don't have experience with fake bags from anywhere, but I would get the
credit card receipt (even if you have to write the credit card company for a
copy from their back files), I would get a statement in writing from Gucci, and
I would write to the president of Costco. If you don't hear back in three days
from one of his assistants, forward the letters to the local Better Business
Bureau, and, possibly, to the small claims court.

I think she meant it was generally in the same shape as the Hermes Kelly.
I have what I think of as a Ferragamo Kelly. I'm sure both the Hermes
people and the Ferragamo people would be horrified by that, but I tend to
mentally apply the term "Kelly" to boxy bags in general.

I've seen fake Hermes /Gucci scarves for sale from street vendors in
London. But on close inspection the quality of the scarves were awful! No
handrolled hems, poor printing and the scarves were not even silk!
no thanks..I'd rather have real ones any day
